tf2's skill cap is based purely on movement. air strafing, rocket jumping, and sticky jumping. OW is a lot more about team composition and aim. Most weapons in overwatch do not function on raycast. You've got to lead your shots with most characters, which is much easier said then done. You also move much slower in this game meaning you cannot just bitch out of a fight if the odds are against you, which leads to you seriously considering your next move because dieing is a very real punishment. tf2 on the other hand has even the slowest character (heavy) getting to the objective remarkably quickly. you've also got forward spawns in tf2 and you're never really too far from the objective and each life is simply a pawn. OW is not like this. if you die, you've got to wait out the respawn timer and walk ALL the way back to the otherside of the map. Now this may sound unappealing to some people, but it really adds strategy to the game and at the same time giving heros like lucio and symetra a larger purpose.Oh really? Please inform me of this temendously high skill ceiling. I see no advanced non-class specific movement options, no pressure to preserve ammo, hell, you have a button that literally just kills people.
For those who say tf2 is easy, well yes of course it is when pretty much all you do is play pubs or low level competitive.
Alright, I will admit it's harder to get into than tf2 but you plateau so quickly beyond aim.
can you actually give a real reply for once instead of just mindlessly insulting peopleThe game's competitive mode isn't even in the beta so how the fuck do you judge how easy it may or may not be anyway? Pretty surebaby toucher'sTangy's just trying to troll.
implying I mindlessly insult anyone other than Tango, and that's only when he says stupid shit.tf2's skill cap is based purely on movement. air strafing, rocket jumping, and sticky jumping. I see what you are saying, but the game also tells you what the other team is using, at least last time I checked. Tf2 has just as much aim, on said faster targets, and soldier and demoman are good classes that are pretty much just projectile.tf2's skill cap is based purely on movement. air strafing, rocket jumping, and sticky jumping. Man you really don't know what you're talking about eh?I see what you are saying, but the game also tells you what the other team is using, at least last time I checked. Tf2 has just as much aim, on said faster targets, and soldier and demoman are good classes that are pretty much just projectile.
I believe that OW requires a lot of teamwork, yes, but that is to make up for the lack of individual skill that can be aquired. I can solo que and completely dominate out of my sheer aim.
Edit: you literally just listed 5 things off the top of your head that goes into tf2 skill vs 2 that goes into OW. Aim doesn't really count, applies to both games.
First off, tf2 doesn't have just as much aim skill because nearly all the classes have raycast weapons. Soldier and Demoman aren't as hard either because they can easily utilize splash damage to kill anyone. You're dealing extremely large damage without even a direct hit. it's not hard to play soldier or demoman compared to playing characters like pharah or junkrat (excluding the advanced movement that was mentioned before.).I see what you are saying, but the game also tells you what the other team is using, at least last time I checked. Tf2 has just as much aim, on said faster targets, and soldier and demoman are good classes that are pretty much just projectile.

yeah sorry ;(Are you guys saying Overwatch is going to require skill? Should I cancel my download?
I played it just now and it's really fun and now I have to go spend $60 8(
Also PVP is really hard now that a noob harvest has begun. 4 people on my team went McCree and we got fucked.
I'm fine with Roadhog having a hook but jesus fuck the range it has>play d.Va

>heh heh no one will suspect me up in this balcony in plain view of everyone
>immediately chained and combo'd out of my suit by Roadhog before I can shoot anyone
>respawn and fly back to the point

>at least my ult's ready so I can blow up my suit before Roadhog gets me
>jump down in the middle of enemy team to commence allahu ackbar

Also I started PvP as Mei and sucked ass, but I played Mercy in a lobby with Stanto and the medic experience carried over well.

yeah roadhog is a bitch to deal with, honestly feels a little overpowered, because of his fuckton of health that he can heal instantly, and usually theres a healer sucking him off as well so he never fucking dies as he keeps ripping up your ass with this hook>play d.Va

Roadhog is a little bitch but the trick is to use any escape you may have literally the second you get out of hook stun.>play d.Va

Your Q, so shift for everyone else? Or was that E?Roadhog is a little bitch but the trick is to use any escape you may have literally the second you get out of hook stun.
I don't know about other characters, but I can usually survive by instantly pressing my Q as Mei.
Shift, my bad. Ice encasement right in his face, and then wall out. If one's on cooldown, you can usually get away with one or the other. I just use both to be safe.Roadhog ain't shit against Junkrat. I mean if you have your concussion mine Roadhog's hook shouldn't give you trouble.
