Currently disputing a ping mask issue from the other team though.

That isn't going to work. If they were ping masking you guys shouldn't of started the match and brought it to the Steal Division Admin.

Not bringing it up before the match and complaining about it after is basically saying you were okay with it. You didn't have any problems before the match so why bring it up after the match? To try to turn a loss into a win.

how in the fuck is ping masking supposed to be a problem

holy fucking shit you can just use console and check the actual ping with the command "ping"

Actually, I told my team leader before the match even started, and he said not to worry about it. I still had an issue with it though. When our medic timed out during the first round I told the guy to remove it, but he didn't listen.

I kind of want to get into Competitive. On one hand, I want to play on a team and practice with the same people every week so I can actually get better. On the other hand, signups have closed, On the third hand, my time played in TF2 is probably not good enough to get into most teams. Overall,:(

Signups don't close until playoffs. Go find a team, mate.

Start in steel. Find a casual team and just learn from there. Go to the UGC forums and try to find a mentor for your class as well. Heck, if you have any questions, ask here. Most of us are glad to help because competitive is still fun

Well what class do you even main?

It's really not fair to justify a high seed until week 5. Once divisions are learned and every team is assorted properly then you can boast.

Yes, yes. I'm being silly. Thank you for pointing out what should have been obvious in my post.

Edit: As a side note, both teams we faced in the past weeks had 0 comp experience and very little scrimming. This is actually the first time that we've faced a team where the players have some comp experience and scrim. Hence why I said that I don't think things will work out as well this week.
