Dear Skial,
Today our 2FORT | US lost one of its regulars. She was too frustrated by the inattention, of nobody being able to check in on the lightning rod that is 2Fort. Racism, griefing, hate speech, all these things take their toll. I tried to convince her to stay with us, mentioned that I had an admin application in the final stages of approval. But I've told her I was applying for admin before, to try and keep her with us. It was true then and it's true now, but to her the promise seemed hollow, and I can't blame her. I really don't wanna lose any more regulars. Please, let me get to work.
Sincerely,
The Ur Pigeon
She could have reported these circumstances if they were troubling her. Simply because one regular leaves due to an issue she never acted upon doesn't require your app to be looked upon with more haste than others.
Give me a break....
the fact that a reg left does not really affect anybody.
like at all.
If she was really that bothered then she could've taken a minute to fill out a report or contact one of us on Steam. I'm not gonna come to 2fort unless I want to play some 2fort or I get a report. We may be admins but we're not psychic. If regs want rule breakers off then they need to take initiative and tell someone who can take action or use the votemenu. She was too frustrated by the inattention, of nobody being able to check in on the lightning rod that is 2Fort. You could have reported these people, and that person could have as well. And repeating myself, I seriously doubt anyone here cares all the much. not trying to sound dismissive but it's true.Actually, this regular is pretty quiet and gets along with everyone, which is why I was shocked to learn that they were leaving and for the reasons stated. And they didn't leave because of "one person" as I've said above. They left because of the general state of the server. This person has a thick hide, they're not going to take so much offense to one person that they'll go off the deep end.
And the fact you think I'm trying to "boost" my app is a little short-sighted. I don't need to boost my app if it has 4 pages of support already. I was just expressing my frustration at not being able to help. I said "last stage of approval" because that's what it is described as. First you apply, then the moderators look at your application and if they like it, it goes to Reviewing. After that point, it is passed to Bottiger and is changed to Considering. Once Bottiger signs off on it, then you are approved. This is what I read on this very forum, not what I'd like to think in my head. Maybe it doesn't always go that way, but I try to take what I read at face value.
I understand people can still withdraw their support from me, in fact a friend of mine had a falling out with me and did for a while (we have since reconciled and he supports my application again). But that doesn't mean I'm going to change my behavior to try and squeeze more votes out or keep the ones I already have. I'd like to think these people have shown support because they actually want me to help, not because of some bizarre internet popularity contest.

I seriously think cr33p3r and I are the only other users on this forum that even play 2fort to begin with.
If you want to help, you can help by bringing these reports to the report section, instead of to your admin application to try and get pity admin. You could have spread that we deal with reports, handed out our steam profiles, so we could be added and dealt with things.
We cannot know what is always going on, so talk to us. Be proactive, and take the initiative, show me you should be an admin and that you really want to help instead of saying "They left because this server is toxic". if its toxic, then work towards fixing it. You can do that without the admin tag.
This is when the app goes to shitI've addressed what you've said here in earlier posts.
With the report stuff, I addressed it above. Yes she could have reported it, absolutely. Lots of times we do on 2FORT. But often those reports don't go through, or if they do, nothing ever comes of it. There's a player on 2FORT that I have reported many times because of them griefing others and their team (for example, taking the intelligence and sitting somewhere out of reach, never capping), but that person is still a regular. As I've said somewhere before in this app, I do not expect the admins to be able to be everywhere. That's not a reasonable thing to expect. But I don't expect to get so much shit (and so much of it uninformed from people not having read prior posts properly) for wanting to help out.
And frankly, I don't give a flying fuck what people on the forum think of the 2FORT server. What I care about is what the people on the 2FORT server think about the 2FORT server.
Again, addressed your post earlier.

Also why not manually report people? Sure it takes longer but then you can provide proof on the spot and the fact that a person did the report catches more attention.
