That link is legit.
But for it to work you need to have a valid copy of windows 7 I believe
I have 8.1 and it's a legit copy, but when I look at the "Get Microsoft 10" menu it says that I have to wait for Microsoft to make sure it works on my specific computer. Don't see why it wouldn't, but I guess I'll wait a few days for it to update automatically

Just tried that, after a half hour of loading shit, it was about 50% done installing then closed, just said "Windows 10 installation failed"
Going to try once more, if it still doesn't work I'll just wait until it tries to install it legitly
Well, it's a legitimate installer from MS :D You have to take into account that right now, probably, a lot of people are trying to get W10 so MS servers may experience some issues.

I personally usually wait for 2-3 patching cycles after the release of new OS before I even try to install the new OS. It's even better to wait until SP1 (but I understand it's too long for someone).

Windows 10 allows encryption of hard drives, which I think has been around since.. Windows xp maybe? That's pretty good.

Except when the encryption key is automatically saved to your OneDrive. Once you log into your OneDrive account on a different machine which someone *could* easily hack into and then you'd get easily hacked. That completely destroys the entire concept of having an encrypted hard drive. lol

Good thing you don't have to use OneDrive,

Has anyone else played a game in windowed mode and pressed the Windows key + G? I fucking flipped when there was a game bar that allowed me to record videos, holy fuck.

Anyone know if windows 7 programs would still be compatible with 10 or is it like previous operating systems where stuff has to be designed specifically for it

Also is it worth picking up?

Just about every program I've used on 7 works on 10 just fine!

Actually yeah you do, you HAVE to have a Microsoft account to even use your computer. If you disable those online features, you basically can't even browse the Internet.
You can log out of OneDrive and unlink it so it doesn't sync up with your shit.

Your encryption key is automatically backed up to your OneDrive, you can't disable that at all. Once you have hard drive encryption enabled, it will automatically be backed up to the Cloud. Sure it's more convenient, but it pretty much nullifies the entire point of having your HDD encrypted. lol

Wow I just realized that after trying to install W10 twice, my main hard drive filled up like crazy. Trying to defrag it right now, I doubt it'll do much good though.
