one of your problems is, you are busy playing games and being on steam, when you should be doing your work.

School comes first buddy.

As far as tips, alot of people are different in the way they study. You just need to find what you are comfortable with. Nothing on the computer. I know if i study on the computer i tend to get on steam, forums, or whatever.

SHort Version:
More time hitting the books, less time on the computer
both, anya AND my parents said that to me ._.

Studying? I never did that in school, I never needed to. I retain useless information better than most people. Of course I found no use for their idiotic busy work, either. Why do that on my time when there are aliens, orcs and nazis who need a good boot to the head?

Yeah, I got stuck in a manual labor job and never made anything of myself. I blame the school for not working with me.

you have too much free time because you don't study enough and don't find new and working study habits for yourself.

Go to your teachers. Ask them for extra credit.
Also, read books in your free time.

I'm surprised you didn't put get people to do your homework.

This may be a bit much but i hope it'll help you:
1. Organize your notebooks, if you haven't already done so. This will make it much easier to locate reference materials such as class notes, handouts or reviews.

2. Start your studying early before your exams. Also start with your toughest material first while you are fresh. Budget your time well. Set up a long range plan to go through all material chapter by chapter. Do NOT Procrastinate!

3. Study a little bit each night. Do NOT try to cram in hours of one subject in a night. Twenty to thirty minutes should be sufficient for one subject at a time. Then, go to something else. Come back to the subjects that require further attention.

4. Doing your homework is not the same as studying! While homework assignments may be less during review periods, this does not mean that your studying is done when your homework is completed.

5. Use chapter reviews, worksheet packets, and flash cards to identify any ideas, phrases or concepts that are still difficult for you. Then set aside some special time to study these concepts alone.

6. Use study tools available to you. Study with someone else (try your parents...they'll love it and often will encourage you to study harder than your friends). Explain each major concept to study partner as though he/she were a five year old. Rehearse, review, repeat!

7. Use the time provided in the class and study sessions to ask questions. In order to do this, you will need to study outside of class to identify questions and problems that you still have. Keep a list of questions so that you remember them when you get to class.

8. Go through each chapter and try to pick out the major concepts, then try to write questions that you would ask someone to see if they understood those concepts.

9. Make up a story, the sillier the better, to help you remember the concepts. Make out a story board and then retell the story to yourself or someone else until you have perfected it. For example, the phrase Keep Him Doing Units During Commercial Minutes helps me memorize the order of the metric units from largest to smallest; Kilo, Hecto, Deca, UNIT [liter, gram, meter], Deci, Centi, and Milli.

10. Don't get overwhelmed. Give yourself credit for the incredible amount of material that you do know.

11. Get a good night's sleep before your exams.

12. Lastly, have a nice breakfast before you go to school.

I failed because there was this really hot girl sitting in front of me and- (Purple is my Favorite color)
and Her shirt was up enough for me to see that she has a Thong going up her waist, and trust me it was up high.
I was amazed at how high it was and that it looked like she didn't mind at all, Anyways
Yea point is don't get distracted and such, Better off reading what the other people here have been posting.

I'm gonna say this just cause I am too and i know how this works. Ain't ya asian? =P

Anyways, what I use to do is take the notes i took down for that day and rewrite them to review.

How old are you exactly?

When I was in university it took me a while to get a solid study routine down.

What worked for me is leaving my house and going somewhere else without distractions aka the library.

We had quiet study individual rooms you could take and some with computers if you needed to type. Go there, shut the door, bring some good but non distracting, and start to cram. It can actually be quite enjoyable and satisfying.

Even though I am out of college now if I ever have to buckle down and get some work done that is what I do.
