Unmoderated has become a terrible place. It was fun while it lasted, but it has just become too much.

There's nothing but trolling, pointless posts, people fighting amongst one another and grotesque shock images. So, it essentially has become 4chan- a breeding place for trolls that infect other places in the forums. At first it was funny, but it's gotten to the point where its gone overboard and overflowed other places. At this point, it's cancerous. All of Skial needs some sort of moderation to keep unfavorable professional trolls out, ie. Mario.

I'm not saying to get rid of NSFW, since I do think that there needs to be some place where images that aren't safe for work can be posted. But I do think that unmoderated should be shut down to reduce the amount of unfavorable users that are appearing because of it, as well as reduce the internal fighting among the regulars.

Edit: I should make it clear, I have no issue what goes on in umoderated; it's a place where drama can happen, trolling is fine, etc. My issue is that it's now becoming a problem in other places in Skial. The drama, trolling, etc. isn't being kept in umoderated and I know a lot of users who are becoming more vocal regarding their issues with it.

I feel that unmod is a nice thing to have in ways to collect all the shit that rolls down hill. Sewer systems are always good instead of droppin a deuce in random places and having the mods clean it up. I mean I'm no angel but if unmod is causing problems outside of unmod, maybe harsher penalties are needed so people learn to keep it in unmod.

Honestly, I don't know what the OP is talking about in terms of drama, but I haven't been paying attention really so, yeh.

Sorry about that lol, I was going to disagree about removing unmod but your points make sense, there has Been more and more drama. I hope this passes. Unmod is only causing trouble

Unmod was made so people can stop trolling and flaming in random topics in the forum. For the most part, it works. Most arguments and shit no one cares about happens in unmod. The trolling and flaming and shitstorms were terrible back before this was added.

The whole point of unmod is to take your own arguments there instead of other peoples threads.

Here is a solution, don't go in unmod. Almost everyone here goes and posts in unmod and gets into arguments or whatever in there. If you stop posting and reading what is in unmod, it can't really affect you can it?
 
One more thing.. People keep bringing up

Unmod was never made for fun or to be funny. It was never the purpose of that section.

Apparently, the problem is no longer about what's happening in UNMOD, but rather about shit coming OUT of UNMOD.

To be honest with you, I haven't noticed it either, but that's what OP and Dave are stating.
 
To follow up the sewer analogy, shit is overflowing. With people citing shit in unmod or taking shit in unmod seriously, it is getting out of control. Why not make it so you cant make topics in there but just send topics gone awry. We already have NSFW, so whats the point. An argument doesnt have to go out of control if everyones mature enough.

But i will be amazed if this was ever to happen. If there was no drama, bashing, racist comments, useless comments about "thorned dildos", and to bash noobs at the first mistake they do, then it loses it's Skial name.
