US29, Weapon Bans

While on last night, we had the entire server agreeing that we should do some weapon bans on US29.

Backburner
Enforcer
Natascha
Soldier laser weapons
Gunslinger
Wrangler

Any other suggestions are fine, as long as they are unanimously agreed upon.
Hopefully, I can be given the ability to do it myself, or Bott could do it.

"Weapon Slot 2". If you hold down a button and shoot someone you're aiming at, I think it might be a weapon.

Why should Backburner, Natascha or Enforcer be allowed if the Wrangler isn't? Anyone who isn't one of the "OCCUPY WALLSTREET" hipster fags "fighting for freedom" agrees that these weapons are broken and disrupt the game.
 
I think no weapon should be banned. "Pros" playing on a "Pro" server should be able to handle all weapons.
 
i just hope if we DO get weapon bans
we dont ban pretty much every weapon like ESEA 6v6 :c
 
I hate to say it, but I think I agree with Del Piero and DrRuelel. I personally wouldn't care much if the weapons that you talked about at the beginning were banned since I hardly ever use them, but unless you are going to take the server to vanilla weapons only the decision about what weapons to ban is going to be necessarily arbitrary being based as it is on opinions instead of data. There are lots of weapons and players out there that have seemed OP to me at one point or another, but in general that's been more of a reflection of my lack of experience with those weapons than that they were really all that powerful.

Re-opening to see if enough support is available, and if we can get some people who play on US29 regularly to give their opinions.

Of course, the opinion of some self-righteous elitist tool who only plays on trade servers shouldn't be difficult to bypass.
 
Backburner's and Enforcer should be banned based on how there Posotives are OP as fighting King Kong on steroids, Backburner having only 4 airblasts till you run out of ammo and the Enforcer only having a 0.5 seconds till your fully clocked (
dosent matter if you use the Dead Ringer) Those negetives hardly do much anyways, Those 2 are just Op, Natasha is just "Easy Mode" for the Heavy, beeing able to slow down Scouts doing there thing jumping n what not beeing fast and annoying, Heavys can fire the Natasha as much as they want and there almost always gonna get the kill on any class, Cow mangler is a peice of crap to start off, Wrangler and Gunslinger, maybe should be Limited to teams of 1 Gunslinger, 1 Wranger to a team at most.
I'm known for typos, cut me some slack :p

They rarely kill me. I'm the only one who ends up taking care of mini-sentries, because other people are busy trying to actually play to deal with them.
I take Natascha heavies 1v1 and win 75% of the time.
I have Mad Milk to extinguish Backburner fire. Other than that, all I have to do is shoot at some retard walking in a straight line.

I didn't disinclude the Sydney Sleeper. I hate that weapon, most people do. I didn't axe Demoknight shit, either. I just am getting rid of what most (edit: sane) people realize is overpowered.

Es not possible to stop weaps based on how many a team has. And that isn't the point.

or jump right when they hit you with their shield, it sends you flying backwards

Okay, so a little lesson on time in the English language. In the first part of my post I was talking about the present when I said that I don't use the weapons that you want to ban. That doesn't say anything about what I've done in the past. In the second part of my post I talked about the past when I didn't have as much experience and didn't know how to counter some of the weapons that you want to ban. That doesn't say anything about how I play now.

Hadur, I don't have problems with demoknights at all. I believe they're in general counterproductive to a team, overall, but they aren't overpowered, so they don't need to be removed.
