Request for unban

as Bottiger said, lag compensation doesn't do anything regarding movement, only with attacks.
Lag compensation is most commonly the technical reason behind cases of kills or actions that would otherwise seem infeasible in given circumstances; for example, when players perceive themselves to have been "shot through a wall" by a Sniper, backstabs being performed at the incorrect angle (known as facestabs), or otherwise missing entirely (known as failstabs).
In a nutshell, when a high-latency (high-ping) player attacks, the server temporarily "rewinds" its copy of the action in order to compensate for their lag. For example, the enemy Sniper shoots when he sees your head, at that moment you and most other players may believe you successfully ran behind a wall. When the server receives the fire message from the Sniper, it "rewinds", finds out if you had ought to have been hit, and then deals damage, leading to the appearance of being "killed through a wall".

I don't care if they see the apology is forced. At least the logic will be there for the future readers and Google to pick up. Anyone with half a brain would realize we weren't being unreasonable.

Congratulations. You just single handedly convinced me never to play on a skial server again. I'm gonna go add them to my blacklist now.

Many people in this thread are unsure of what the right thing is to do.

What would I say to people that have posted to my thread expressing some malcontent with Skial?

Would you have me say that I appealed this ban for a reason, but then the mods convinced me that I was speedhacking?

Darling. Take a step back from what's going on. You came here because you were banned for speedhacking. When things didn't go your way (based on people that weren't the admin that banned you) you went to reddit to do what? Whine? Okay. But then what? You shit talk people that are here over there. Risen, the mod who banned me, has now commuted my sentence to 2 weeks ban, I'm going to press him to remove the ban. Then I might just tell them all to go to hell.

Anyway, if you want my non-kayfabe opinion, I say the guy gets unbanned, even if it's just to end all this senseless violence.
