Talking strictly of PUB play (I have no real concept of comp play)

holding m1 on people isnt hard
I think Seth was more referring to the fact that everyone and their dog wants to kill the medic first, so to be a good medic you have to be good at not leaving yourself exposed to the enemy and not drop uber in the process.

I am basing this on a competitive point of view.

engineer -> medic -> spy -> heavy -> pyro -> scout -> solider -> demoman -> sniper

Engineer you just build stuff. Yeah you shoot people afterwards but every class does that. Engineer use to be more difficult.

Medic, yeah it sucks to be a medic but all you do is try not to die and uber.

Spy i believe mostly relies on luck. Yeah there are good spies and fancy tricks you can do. But you can easily have a bad game.

Heavy, is mostly there to tank and protect medic. and important job but not the hardest.

pyro, takes some skill in HL. Got to constantly spy check and reflect.

solly and demo, they have to learn roll outs, how to bomb, jump, do damage.

sniper, maybe i am bias because i play it but i find it extremely hard.

But sometimes you have to press m2, which makes it super hard.

Admittedly, there can be issues with Medic, especially when you're the only Medic on a 12 person team. Keeping everyone healed is pretty much impossible, so being able to decide heal targets on the fly (which comes down to more than just classes) can be difficult.

It's not difficult at all to decide what to heal.

Yeah I think every class can be easy given the right circumstances.
You should try making more specific lists such -
For example, a sticky demo would rank much higher on the easy side than a pipe only demo would. You should see what happens when the majority of demos use pipes.. they never get kills.

Nobody jumps into TF2 for the first time and says, "I'm going to do well as sniper".

You die a lot if you want to get good at sniper.

FYP.

Sniper is a lot harder than it seems at first. Oh, yeah, click heads. No problem. Except when they're going back and forth at 500 miles per hour and you also have to watch for the sniper trying to click your head and there are spies everywhere and...

Well, there's a reason that I've been practicing my headshots.

Just want to see people's opinions on this.

Here's my list.

Medic, Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Sniper, Spy

Pyro takes more skill than Scout, Soldier, and Medic? Does that mean that if I were to main Pyro that I'd eventually be able to surpass yz50, cyzer, TLR, and shade in terms of being objectively good at this game?

From personal experience:
Engineer<Soldier<Medic<Pyro(W+M1 doesn't count)<Scout<Demoman<Sniper<Spy
Inb4 someone whines about me putting soldier below medic and pyro.

Don't you mean 6s?
I thought about it, but you have to remember.
This is all classes, 6s doesn't utilize all classes/uses them differently. Since this is all 9 classes, I assumed it was in the highlander format.
Ya playing medic in iron is super hard
Yea man, showing up for 1 lobby and roster riding is sure hard.

ITT: People who have never played highlander.

I don't believe the crux of the thread was about highlander. I believe the topic was about the ease of picking up class and playing it. Since the average tf2 player doesn't play competitive, most of us didn't consider competitive when making our lists. Mine was simply what a new player could pick up and perform well with in a standard pub, in that order.

Going off topic isn't going to help your argument of medic being hard at all
And when I did show up I basically backpacked the team :~)
