Need Supporters Should Admins ban for sprays.

This question has come up time and time again, and threads like this one have come up times and times again. I want this one to be different, I want this one to come to a decision. I'm not saying an out-right ban. I would follow this example warn, kick, then ban for a day if the problem persists.
This is very open for discussion, all I ask is that you stay on topic.
Edit: Now when I say offensive I'm talking about a majority, if one person finds it offensive but everyone else is fine with it, I don't think anything should be done. But then an Admin personal beliefs would come into play This is a very difficult topic, please think critically.
Let's take this to an extreme let's say someone was spray an animal being harmed in some way (I don't want to go into specifics) and people get very offended by it. An admin comes in and removes it, the person is warned. they spray it again and then they get kicked. They come back and spray it again, then they should receive a 1 day ban, so on and so forth.

these "clopjob" pictures/sprays for instance are fun for some, but intrigue me for all the wrong reasons (most involve me headbutting a wall whilst repeatedly asking "why?"), whilst the slight majority would agree that these sprays aren't fun to watch, the minority would defend the opposite. would you agree naked cartoon animals (also includes furries and shit, another subject i love to bash to a bloody pulp) would be a thing that should be outlawed? you would retain an audience that would still remain the server regardless of what sprays get allowed, and lose an audience all together because let's face it, furries and bronies bear biblical love for their manchild fantasies, that's why they all flock over to a specific brony/furry server because it's the only server where people don't treat them like the autistic neckbearded children they are.

the majority of humanity as you put it, doesn't play TF2, and to narrow it down ever more; don't play on skial. so you have to cater to the people that play on your server. would you rather want to cater to the opinions of about 99.999999999999998% of the world, or the remaining percentage that actually care what you do with your rulings, as they're actually affected by the rules set by admins. if humanity would have an opinion on something, it would be freedom of speech right? but who cares about the majority of humanity, right? lol

i'm not saying that, i'm just saying that if you incorporate opinions from people into rules that don't necessarily see eye to eye with that the skial community wants, you'll just needlessly lose your audience. i'm suggesting bottiger to keep listening to the people that regularly come on to skial, if you neglect them and whatever they have to say for the sake of people who never even heard of TF2 to begin with you'll just destroy your own community.

for instance, some of you people don't want to see people get kicked for high ping, even though high ping in most cases is directly disruptive towards gameplay, and i can understand if you want to even keep the high-ping players in the community even though they are arguably more obstructive than the people you want to see kick/banned for spraying 'disturbing' sprays. i think people that dress up as over-exaggerated dogs and other animals and draw pictures of their "fur-personality" fucking their pets of choice in the ass to be pretty disturbing (zoophilia is illegal under animal-abuse laws), yet it seems to float peoples boats enough for them to open up a chain of servers specifically for THOSE people, even though the idea of it is pretty disturbing, and those people aren't just in those servers, many of them are regulars on skial but i don't see any of those people being disallowed from joining the server, despite knowing that the 'majority of humanity' is directly opposed to soliciting your pet animals, i wager.

the internet subculture, or just the TF2 community in general have vastly different morals that oppose people from all around the world. if you want to please the people that are actually arsed enough to put up with some of the shit that happens on skial; you'll have to cater to their needs. bottiger seems pretty big on catering to all sorts of people to keep the community from dying out, that's why this suggestion won't pass (besides the majority outweighing the minority, for the good).

If you play a game where everyone on your team and the enemy's team is dying in a manner of explosive and graphic ways, then I would personally imagine that people forfeit caring about sets of instilled moral reasoning. I don't want to tell people what to do or think, but the actual matter involves not doing anything. It's giving absolutely no fucks in most situations. I've seen instances where admins or the majority of regular players get a person banned for sprays ranging from Pokemon to those that make fun of Justin Bieber or Nickelback. The majority on Skial server are just as bad if not worse at this kind of thing. (Server admins are actually pretty good as far as I've seen.)

Unless it's a man violently abusing his dog sexually, I see absolutely no point in even beginning to kick or ban someone over a spray. I find it offensive in and of itself that there are people who are so stuck in their own morality to the point they want it to be inserted into a systematically enforced rule to be followed by all. The fact there are so many people unable to enjoy playing on a map in a videogame because there is an image contradicting their views on 0.0067% of the map's surface is disturbing.

I honestly don't think any sort of sprays should be bannable UNLESS it detracts from the game being played. On regular maps where you, yanno, do stuff there's shouldn't be moderation of sprays. In trade servers however, things that detract from actually trading should be moderated. But on that hand I wouldn't say the spray is the bannable thing, the griefing of traders is the bannable thing. Even then I would think the punishment for that should be super short, like... it should never get to the point where you ban someone for a week for an offensive spray.

Also, i didn't read this thread. I saw it was primus and I assumed it would all be long winded and all basically saying the same thing as his first post.

but you did read the first 31 posts, including mine to get the idea i was getting at, yeah? good, since we got that out of the way; let's talk sprays.

i agree with your point that sprays shouldn't be a bannable offense unless a lot of people can remain vocal enough about a particular spray, and even then it shouldn't be a ban; just remove the spray, if the guy continues/potentially unaware of a warning given, for instance; a kick should wake that person up, afterwards a 24 hour ban or something feels adequate for disobeying an admin if the person continues.

spraying over sprays which have contact/trade information in them on trading servers would be griefing though, but those sprays don't necessarily have to be images of tubgirl or goatse for instance, warnings should be adequate for solving that problem too.
