How about this then, I'll reduce your sentence from permanent to 2 weeks.
I still hold by my decision that you were indeed, speedhacking however, you have shown that you were at least level headed when dealing with everyone else in your ban appeal.

However, the next time either me or the other admins catch you doing any kind of hacking, it is going to be a permanent ban, and your next ban appeal will not be reviewed.

I appreciate that. However, does it really still need to be 2 weeks? I still maintain that I was not hacking, and that something in the connection made me appear to move quickly. If I am a cheater, you will find out quite quickly. If I'm not, you will have done the right thing and let an honest community member back in.

Don't think I am ungrateful, I'm just maintaining my innocence. I don't think I should be punished for a lag spike or poor connection.

I honestly think it should be 1 week max instead of 2.
 
Lag or packet loss will never make you run faster.

If the server doesn't get a packet from you, it will assume you are moving at the same velocity as before. If it ends out that you stopped moving before you reconnected to the server, the server will teleport you backwards. It will never speed you up.
 
Do I need a punishment? If it is agreed that I am to be shown mercy, then why not let me back in now? If 2 weeks is unfair, why is 1 week fair? Why not 2 days, or 24 hours, or 3 hours, or 30 minutes?

Well, you gotta look at things at my side. If I unban you, it'll look like you can just smooth talk me over a ban, and that I'm not confident in my bans.
If I leave you permanently banned, it'll look like that I just ban people for no reason other than "I saw him hack" especially since I have no proof other than my word.
Think of this as a compromise.

I see. This could be an example to others that if there is not overwhelming evidence and the truth is fuzzy, the best thing to do is appeal in a polite manner, and hope that the mods are able to weigh the evidence with the demeanor of the accused, and come up with a solution. If I am found in violation again, ban me and you will be right. If I am a model player, then you will have been right to unban me.

Dude you got out of a perma thats a great enough achivement, let the 2 week or whatever it is now stand and wait pateintly.
