Regardless of they shouldn't be on tf2 or not it's going to happen, and knowing that there is some psycho out there with those type of thoughts I would rather not have them around my friends or the kids you're supposed to be moderating.

it's a game. he's not near them at all
if you don't want them to hear dire talk about lion king then you can mute him or leave the server
 
I'll vote to unban him, most of the shit he says is either funny or no worse than anything else.

First sign of regression and drop on him like a load of bricks though

Voted no initially, but I don't think it's entirely justified at this point.
My vote now goes to unbanning him, deal with it.
 
This is why we do research before we click buttons that determine if a player can ever play in one of skials 7000 servers again.
 
Unban him over a technicality of fake pictures or keep him banned for breaking the rules regardless? This is the question.

Also have to consider if someone who chooses the second option doesn't think that time served is already punishment enough.

Edit:
in addendum you do have to realize that the fellow has already been banned since December? or January?...if you subtract this month he's been on another account that's like 5-6 months banned...in this reporters eyes he's suffered enough. I won't keep defending or detracting - this will be my final post in his favor.

6 months seems like reasonable punishment for faked pictures being linked on an internet gaming forum....add another week or two onto it for him avoiding the perm ban, sounds perfectly fair to me.

Well he did come back without being unbanned, so dodging would be a perfectly justifiable reason for permaban.

I knew the guy, I've talked to the guy, I was THERE when it happened. I just think the ban is outdated, given the policies we have in place. Either change the policies or change the ban.
 
People keep forgetting the part where he dodged a perma and are voting completely based on personality, which is most likely only when he's drunk.
That, and if he's unbanned, there's a guaranteed shitstorm coming.
