Approved Gore Sprays = Bannable offense(?)

Obviously sprays are sprays and I could turn them off, but I like seeing other sprays too. But really, I don't like seeing the gore sprays, they're just shocking. It's just really horrible at how cruel players or people can be.

(In this photo I literally had to move my sentry and dispenser away from the spray to a different location just because of it)

I would expect it's pretty traumatic for some people. I do find this stuff detestable and sometimes disturbing, still gets me off though +1
 
+1, This is offensive to some people, but more importantly it can put younger ones off coming onto the server since I know younger kids are a bit more sensitive.
 
Gore and porn should be banned. I don't want to see someones missing arm, and I don't want to see someone shove a baseball bat up their ass.
 
i dont want to see the flag of the italian social republic, the logo of the totenkopf, kkk logo, three percent flag and the battle flag of the army of northern virginia uncle fear but we cant all get what we want

Edit - this post was directed at the people complaining about regular porn sprays, not gore. I meant to quote someone else but ended up quoting cream tea

The internet has a lot of porn on it, and there are kids who use the internet. No one expects the internet to ban porn because a kid might run across a pair of boobs because their parents are too lazy to set up some form of parental controls.

TF2 allows you to disable sprays too. BigShula does that for her kids if I recall correctly thus instantly solving that problem.

And contrary to what some parents may think, a kid seeing porn doesn't scar them for life and turn them into a sexual deviant and / or a serial rapist. If 12 year olds can draw the line between fantasy and reality while they're beating up hookers with a baseball bat in Grand Theft Auto or blowing people up into gore chunks in TF2 I imagine they can handle running across random internet boobs.

I was talking about regular run of the mill porn, not gore or gore porn.

Gore porn is something I assume we'll ban for too if we do ban for gore. I don't see why gore porn would be excluded

Edit - I think I quoted the wrong person in my earlier post, maybe that's the cause of the confusion. My post was directed at the people wanting to ban regular porn sprays.
 
IF gore was banned there would constantly be arguments over what is classified as gore, similarly to the issues that arise with lolicon.

Since gore is not illegal, no reason to ban it to even open up that can of worms. If your precious little eyes can't take it then turn sprays off.

This issue has been brought up before and declined a couple of times.

Am I noticing a pattern here..

Anyway, admin can remove sprays they deem inappropriate, or so I believe.

What if the whole severs precious little eyes can't take it, should everyone turn sprays off? let's remove sprays from showing in game altogether! then there can be no argument about where on the spectrum of acceptable a spray falls
