With the frequent Heavy and Spycrab bans I feel it should be clearly stated in the rules as an example. I also feel that there should be an in server warning or a kick with a warning before a ban is given.

Refusing to help advance your teams position just seems a bit vague. If you changed or added in Spy Crabbing and Friendly heavies you would keep a lot of idiots like me away. I think it would benefit everyone.

It's not vague at all, if Skial were to list every single violation that a general term uses, you'd have a moderator creating posts of over 20,000 words (And many of the people here, hopefully, have LIVES that need their time instead of making a book). There are many definitions and interpretations of it, but what you do, falls under the term of Griefing

Shit, it's not rocket science...you keep trying to justify an action that shouldn't have been done on a regular game-play server. It's the 'job' of players to play and have fun, and the moderators and server admins to oversee and keep this fun going. Your fun, is harming the fun of others. Obviously, in a perfect world, everyone would get to do what they want and everyone would be satisfied. I agree Ruelel's idea of a warning is "pls dont do that" which just looks like a random douche on the server telling others what to do. An admin warning should be pretty clear that it's coming from an admin. I usually kick players with a warning so they can't say they didn't see it. He has access to commands like /csay yet "warns" people in this fashion and then bans them when they don't listen.
However, "friendly" playing is not allowed and it's never going to be. If you want to mess around like that go to trade or idle.

I'm not a admin so don't take my word for it, but I think if you're on a very low populated server where the several people there are doing nothing but screwing around then I don't think any admins would take action against them given the circumstances.
But if a player joins and wants to play a serious round and people just keep screwing around then I assume admins would start taking action

The Right thing to do would be to ask an Admin for a clarification on the rules, instead of ignoring them. You had 8 minutes before you ended up getting the boot, ignorance is no excuse. We all come from all walks of life, some of us are a little bit more polite, others, will tear your fucking jugular out for making ONE leetle mistake. Just communicate with these people instead of ignoring them and they won't have a single reason to stand behind to remove you from the server.
Plus...if you knew people were getting kicked/banned back and forth for a similar violation, did it ever click in your head that this was wrong? Think long and hard before you reply, you were well aware that other people were doing the same friendly shit and being useless meat-bags. The Logs and your current history show that.
If this happens, I leave a note somewhere to remind head admins what happened between this and this *If your community requires you to do so* and either BAIL, or let them keep going until the server resumes normal game-play. Why? Take last year's Scream Fortress. Everyone wanted to be FRIENDLY to 'Fix' The Soldier's problem of an angry Wizard. If they continued to play normally, Merasmus would kick our asses.

It's a game.....and wise-asses with perfect Grammar speaking all the time, opens the Admin to attacks and abuse from the player they're trying to administrate, and can turn an entire group of team, or even the server against the admin....can anyone say Anarchy? Doesn't Skial use Admin Tag/Identifiers? If not, it's your own bloody fault.
You can claim you're the President of 'murica for all I care, but without proper identification, it's all smoke and what not. Plus, Skial Regulars know who the admins are...if they don't, they should be asking questions. He didn't ask a thing.
Admins and Moderators do not get payed to sit in a server and get bullshitted from players who are aware of what they're doing...if they want to be blunt because of this they can. (Because they should always know more than the player that's claiming innocence)

It's equally effortless to type /csay "Stop playing friendly heavy" or /kick "Wrath" "Play or ban - your choice" and would result in less bans and less of these appeals/angry players.

Not everyone will think like you, or me. However, there's only...29 of you that I last checked and given how massive Skial is, I'm taking it that all Admin's words and actions are worth and merit the same. They won't all operate the same way, but for some reason it works...stop beating the dead horse!
It's on their own accord if they choose not to ask. Their own fault, and problem to solve. The appeal's already over as I found more 'dirt' on the user...why are we discussing this again?

Edit: Although I will agree that an immediate ban rather than a kick is more than what most people would do. Furthermore there will -always- be someone on the server that mentions what you are doing and why they think it's wrong
In my opinion it is a good idea to not have them so easily identified mainly because some people are good little boys when they know an admin is on, then when the admin leaves, they go back to calling everyone a faggot and doing the shit they were doing.

Even if the admin wasn't easily identifiable, looking at the server logs, EVERYONE that wasn't playing 'friendly' pleaded with OP and the others to stop. The warning and to the ban was nearly 10 minutes long, there's just no excuse...

Stupid reason. Players ask demoknights, gunslinger engineers, Dr. Enforcicle spies, etc. to stop all the time. There is no reason for any of them to think they are breaking rules or should listen to naggy tryhards.
