WoW had a more lenient curve regarding difficulty/gear, standing in the fire wouldn't instakill you, and you could avoid the fire; in diablo the fire instakills you regardless of how good your gear is, and you can't even escape it; especially with all those CC affix rares and elites.

bosses were laughably easy, especially diablo is just sort of sad; the entire build up of him portrays him as a scooby doo-esque villain (as well as Azmodan and his stupid smug head appearing all over the fucking world), and when you finally encounter him after spending like a thousand hours kiting shitty mobs (which you all have to clear, i remember i encountered my first elite on act II inferno and decided to kite it into the fog of war, which ended up being filled with those annoying wasps that turn the game into fucking Ikaruga, i only made that mistake once), and then you finally fight diablo and he dies within like 2 minutes after kiting him around from a distance, then he drops some shit loot which you can't use and sell and it's supposedly the idea to play inferno all over again. no thanks blizzard, i would rather wait for the shitty unbalanced PvP to come out.

This has been the Diablo formula for many'a years, I don't know where the surprise is for you?

Edit:
as for the learning curve, diablo has that too - fire only instakills you on inferno, you stand in fire on a hard mode boss in wow you're gonna die just as quickly as doing that in inferno in diablo.

maybe that's because i never played diablo 1 and 2, so much for getting my hopes up that blizzard would make a fun and challenging difficulty.

as for fire killing you in WoW; the damage isn't as bad, nor does the game entangle you in immobilization bullshit so "get out of the fire" isn't even applicable advice.

Most classes have an escape - those that don't, won't die in it unless you don't stack the necessarily resistances. On some hard mode raids in wow, you only have a split second warning before a meteor hits the ground, or the thing breaths and it will one shot you if you don't move.

Sorry you're not enjoying it, but should of looked into it a little more before you bought ;/ it's how the other 2 were.

at least WoW had the decency to not immobilize people right before getting hit with ye old nuke; having an escape ability doesn't amount to much when you stack it up with getting incapacitated.

i did do follow diablo 3 a bit though, it isn't just that inferno just isn't working; itemization being a joke and class balance being fucked are just two of the few dozen glaringly bad design options diablo 3 undertook. once you effectively beat inferno like me you don't have much to look forward to besides grinding the same boring mobs; i don't think anyone plays diablo 3 for fun at that point, and are just either playing the AH or are waiting for PvP to ruin that aspect too (i know i can't wait to effectively stunlock people with my DH).

You've effectively beat the game until new content releases - that's no different than killing Deathwing on hard mode, it's a boring part of any game of this type.

Looks like they beat it. Tank didn't drop below 50% more than once, hit 30% when he did (second stage). Cake walk other than that, dropped loot wasn't that great.

I had it on in the background with no sound. I didn't know it was for a world first hardcore inferno kill. Pretty epic.

It's sad, I made one character at first, a Demon Hunter.
Then my friend wanted to make a new character to start over with me, there goes another one, Wizard.
And today, ANOTHER friend wanted to start a Hardcore character, yet another new one, Witch Doctor guy.
