Request for unban

I've seen a few times where people were going fasat across the screen (not jumping, but just going really fast). I know it blocks sv_timescale modifications but there might be other ways to do it.
 
Do what Lord Killington said.

You have a regular KD and we have SMAC anti-speedhack. But I don't see why a bad connection would make you run faster.
 
I think this thread shows the importance of always recording a demo. This person would have no leg to stand on if there'd been one.

I'm not a skeptic, I just trust risen. Plus if there'd been a demo if and was obvious that you weren't cheating you probably wouldn't be here right now, as you'd have been unbanned before you even had the chance to make a post here.

I know my word isnt much against anyone else's but if Flithy does decide to hold a poll (Should Flithy Sneak be banned or not?) and I dont happen to make it in time, be sure to put a vote to no for me. It's hard for some trying to learn to fit in a community, but I believe that people should be given a second chance. Nice pic btw ;D
 
After speaking with you lovely people, I can only conclude this server has it head up its ass on a few different counts. While I enjoyed playing on Skial, you have certainly proven that I should find somewhere else to contribute.

Thanks for trying to help. Regardless of how you felt about what happened, at least you were impartial and tried to help the situation.

To those of you who would follow Risen into an industrial wood chipper:
You’ve followed someone’s word blindly who was wrong. You may or not believe this, but it should at least make you question if you should offer support of someone when you are oblivious of the details.

To Risen:
I’m sure you have put it lots of time to get to where you are. But you come off to a new member as a Demi-god neck beard who has let a very small amount of power inflate your head. Letting other members fall on swords for you reeks of poor leadership.

“Oh and yeah compared to you Risen is god, so be mindful.”
“So I think Risen would know the difference between bad lag and a speedhack.”
“Bottiger chose the current team because he trusts their judgement, I advise you to do the same.”

Then to make an offer that I can buy my way out of the “justice” you dispensed by banning me, smacks of a person who didn’t want to appear wrong in the view of subordinate neckbeards.

To Bottiger:
Sorry man, I can’t see a poll result being any different from the consensus of this thread, and even still, Risen seems pretty intent on upholding his decision, which is his prerogative to do. If there’s anything I can do to further fix this, please let me know.
 
I was strongly considering unbanning you because you were actually level headed when faced with several people saying you deserved the ban.
Unlike other people who bitch and moan about their bans, you actually tried and put forth effort when trying to unban yourself.

If other people blindly follow me, that's their decision, not mine. They have opinions of their own however, if they tried to contribute, you would most likely take the sides of people who are helping you rather than the people who are skeptical and indecisive of your unban request. Including the sides where even they have no idea what you did the night you got banned.

I know what I saw the day you tried to defend first point by attempting to backstab the heavy disguised as a soldier. You were running "normal speed" when disguised as a soldier when it should've been a bit slower. This was made even more obvious when you missed the backstab and was running even faster than before.

I have tried to be as polite and courteous as possible. It's been met with flippant remarks and requests to pay to have the righteous "justice" overturned. If it was justice, then money should have no bearing. I'm sure you are a reasonable guy Risen, think this situation through and how you want new people to be treated here at Skial.

I personally havent been hit this hard by any community I've joined, but seen too many that have. Decided to give my word on what I think about a player's situation, especially since you strike me a person I would be great friends with :)

This is a game. People like to enjoy their game without cheaters, exploiters, etc. All we do is try to prevent that. I wouldn't bring in rosy, not-well defined topics like "Justice" to a video game. As said before, a donation is a one-time only way to say I'm sorry and here's a way to make it up for you. I'll trust Risen over you because I've seen what he's banned plenty of times and I've agreed with the decision in those times. That history is what makes me believe him over you. He could be wrong, but there's less of chance of him being wrong than you being right.
