Only reason I started this thread was that Viper asked me to say goodbye to some of the old school regs for him, and I felt a wrong had been done to a fellow member.
And if you'd have bothered to read the original post or the whole thread for that matter, you'd know that.
And once again I feel his reaction is a bit over the top to all this but it's not him that started this shit storm.
I see now that the wrong has several permutations depending on who's story you listen to.

Rich, at no point did I say I don't know the whole story. What I did say is that if the account of the situation that has been told by people in this thread is indeed accurate information would have done the same thing

I'm not obtuse but the word I am does start with "ob" -- objective. Of course I don't have anything to go by except what's been said in this thread, but if he was warned for disrupting a round he was not part of, kicked, and then given a 30 ban to keep him out of this round but allow him in the next round... I don't see the problem.

There may have been a communication breakdown that I'm not aware of having not actually been there, but multiple people said the same thing.

I love Viper like a bro but that doesn't mean he can disrupt an organized game be it on a Skial server or otherwise. If I had been there and this was a Skial server I would have reacted the same way.

As I've said several times, emotions can't play into being an admin, be they positive or negative. I have kicked regulars for infractions before. It usually doesn't get past that since the regulars are fairly you level headed. My point is that nobody gets favortism from me. Disruption and rule breaking doesn't change with the tag in your username.

Once I see him online I'm going to talk to him. I don't want him to go and I agree he's massively overreacting. I'm sure I can talk him down off the ceiling.

I said skial people that can't deal with this sort of adminning, mostly you, shouldn't play games with people who are not skial members because they won't understand why being around forever = special treatment.

Also, I am not a 'temporary admin' I'm an actual admin on that server, full admin, I have rcon and nfo console access and everything. I was a temporary reports section moderator for skial. Doesn't have anything to do with this situation.

Wow. I just got online and was made aware of this thread.

For those of you who don't know me, I am the owner of the private server this happened on (Gilldy and Wokmage are both admins on my server). Let me break this down from my perspective.

1. Giildy invited me to scrim (I believe cinic invited her and more people were needed)
2. I got into the skial mumble for the first time ever (I have no affiliation with skial except playing on turbine) even though I have my own mumble and offered it to my team during the scrim.
3. We were trying to use TF2lobby and it was not working.
4. I offered to let people use my private server to have a highlander or 6's scrim. (we decided on 6's due to the number of players we thought we could get together)
5. I downloaded the 6's cfg files and set up the server. (I use my server for highlander and MGE for friends and teammates, so I didn't have it ready for 6's)
6. We finally had enough people (i think 13?) in and were getting ready to start this thing (it was taking forever and a day to get this scrim started)
7. The medic duel is supposed to start and Viper is the last person not in spectate. He is asked to go to spectate and does not listen and proceeds to get 2 kills on medics.
8. Giildy proceeds to kick Viper from the server and the medic duel starts.
9. Teams are picked. We have 6 v 6 and the match starts.
10. Viper comes back in the server once the match IS ALREADY IN PROGRESS. He joins a team. He is asked to leave or spectate and does neither.
11. Giildy gives him a 30 min ban.
12. The match goes on without further issue. A second match is played, again without incident.

As the owner of the server, I have ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING PROBLEM with what Giildy did. As far as I am concerned, as soon as I was taken up on my offer of using my server this event (and really calling it an "event" is fucking generous, more like a hastily thrown together scrim) became completely unrelated to skial except for the fact that some players from skial were there (pretty sure no one from skial is paying the monthly rent on my server). I don't give a flying fuck about who has been in skial for how long or who is an admin or whatever the fuck reason Viper thinks he should not have been kicked (I have never heard of 80% of the people that were in the scrim before yesterday). He was being a pain in the ass and was dealt with, end of story. If he is mad because his bestest friends in the whole world didn't get all butthurt like he did and defend his honor and white knight their asses off, that is a huge YP not MP (your problem not my problem).
