Valve never reveals information because hackers can use that information to better make their hacks undetectable. This is probrably why they never unban and never tell anyone the exact reason as to why they got banned.

I can understand not giving an exact reason but it sounds like Valve is taking it too serious if you ask me. We all know that no matter how many people you ban or catch cheating, there will always be a new aimbot or a wallhack and it's just a matter of time before it gets caught.

If I would guess, Valve takes it so serious because otherwise it would be a penalty on their reputation as a company.

Valve as a company has a few main interest, two of them is having a overall positive reputation (extremely valuable in the current competition) and having players spend money on their products. VAC is maintained to satisfy both of these interests. Their reputation will be positive because they work against those that will harm the gameplay of others (reputation in media, other companies, users, all of these are important), and people will be more likely to pay for games and in-game purchases if the game isn't filled with hackers.

Both of those interests could be served better by having a reasonable appeal system in place. No program is foolproof, bugs happen, false positives happen, accounts get stolen and IP addresses get spoofed. In these cases, especially the latter two, only serves to encourage the real culprits to create another account to keep cycling through.

Alright so lets just say valve does care about their reputation. In my opinion, they don't. Why? Well for starters, this thread is good proof they don't care. If their VAC bans are final and they provide no explanation AND no real chance to defend your case, what proof is there that they give a damn? Just because the VAC bans are wrong only .01% of the time doesn't justify sticking it to everyone that gets one.

Another part of the problem is valve customer support doesnt have access to vac ban information. They couldnt tell you if they anted to.

that percentage is wrong. I've been searching for others like me, and there are many, many more false positives.

If you can't fix this the best thing to do is just to make another account and forget about it if you want to play tf2 again and just be more careful of what you do, i'm always paranoid about my steam and it has payed off and i have gained info on how to avoid phishing links, best anti viruses and stuff like that I have saved my friends a few times from getting hacked i know the bit i just said isn't about vac bans but vacs still remove your items except for the payed ones.

Hope you get this fixed friend.

Well how many of them are honestly false positives? You know some hackers will stick with that till the end

Do you have any proof of that? If the proof is that they tell you that they have never hacked before, that is as valid as a proof as dust; because they will always lie about it.

You have been here long enough to know that people blame their bans on everything except themself. Jeez, can you even count how many times people try to lie about brothers/sisters/friends/uncle when they want to get unbanned for hacks?

People that blame their VAC-ban on a false positive, doesn't tell the truth.
Your account got locked for the very same reason as everyone else, VAC punished you (as the account holder) for something your account shouldn't have done.

Something the account shouldn't have done, but not necessarily the account holder's doing. VAC doesn't punish for IP of connected source, which may or may not be a legitimate connection. A permanent ban because your account got stolen isn't conducive to end user trust.

Thank you guys for your support. All the item donations got me back on track, then having my birthday a few days after got me some money to waste on items.

I've built up some nice loadouts:

And no, Valve has not responded to my ticket, and I doubt they will. I'm just glad I was able to rebuild after such a horrible thing. Thanks for the support though guys :D

What's the chance of this account being false positived as well? it's like the chance of being hit by lightning twice.

You wouldn't believe how huge it is. It is possible that your account was VAC banned based on violation reported as placed from your IP. It might've been not you, but your neighbor - you simply got his IP in lease due to dynamic IP's rotation. The chance that you get the same dynamic IP again or IP address of another hacker/cheater/scammer in your area is pretty high considering retarded mechanisms ISPs are using to rotate their DHCP leases.

So until you get to the bottom of this case with Valve, DO NOT spend any money on your "fresh" account which Valve may consider to be an alt, by the way.
