Why Skial is un-secure

So... I'm quite a well known "hacker"/"hacktivist" - don't like any of those words tbh..

For those of you that don't know DDoS is when you send multiple "packets" to a website, every time you open a website it sends packets to receive information, I use a "shell booter" which is when you take servers (more powerful then your average PC as they are hooked up to a WAY faster internet connection and can have a lot stronger processors). Currently I have 670 shells online, this would mean i have control off 670 servers across the world = BEAST. I started off by noticing that the adins don't update the forums software (XenForo) as frequently they should. I then found a vulnerability in the current update of the software on a underground hacking forums i use. I then went on to find that they use a dedicated server with no patched protection IP.

This means that Skial is up for attack from pretty much anyone with the knowledge to do these things (aka me a 15 year old kid from England).

This could mean, if you've been PM'ing people emails, personal details etc that the hackers could get there grubby doritos covered hands on them.

I suggest, either setting up the software to automatically update, adding CloudFlare (free ddos protection) and pen-testing the site (this means to try and hack it with a nice guy who doesn't want to harm the community)

Dude, I know it's kind of a trolling thing. But being able to DDOS a TF2 server company isn't that special. It's a skill 90% of the people on this forum could acquire in less than one day without any assistance. But you know what? Most people enjoy the web. We like it here. We don't feel the need to break stuff for the sake of breaking stuff. It's such a shame: by this point you could be coding cool shit in Java, PHP or C++, but instead you're just running other people's scripts and selecting targets, whilst using twitter as some "uber 1337 hacker blog". It's such a shame, because you're probably quite technically adept when you put your mind to it. You could be making little games by now, or getting paid for web design. But no, you had to drink the "zomg I'm so anon" koolaid and start kicking up a fuss and breaking things.

He did not Photoshop the 503 error. He doesn't know what a rate limiter is. He was the only person to see that error.

I'm also done giving him the attention he wants. That's the only reason why he DDoSed our server even when we didn't delete his thread. No one replied to it in 30 minutes, so he got impatient and attacked us anyway.

I also have 0 sympathy for him now.

I've went ahead and reported his Strongvpn IPs. They told me that they have already shut down the account. I also have his Virgin Media IP. Wong, from your limited knowledge of networking, don't bother resetting your IP via MAC address, every ISP has a customer to mac address log. If I see any other DDoS or vulnerability scanning in the next month or so, I will file a report to Solihull police.

If you want to use this forum like a normal person, you are still free to do so. I have not banned your IP or deleted your account.
