I'm not sure wheter it's a rule or not. Because some admins say yes, while others say it itsn't.
Therefor, can we have 1 clear rule about it?
I'd vote we should have a rule about it. If you wanne hide from everyone, go to idle. Your making 30 people wait just because you think it's fun staring at a wall

From what i have seen hiding is a part of that game. A better idea would be

"Delaying the restart of the game"

I usually give the hider some time to get up and do something, and then if he keeps hiding then I slay so the next round can start.

That is most likely the best way to deal with it. I really don't want to ban someone for hiding. It can also be hard to tell if the intent is malicious or not.

Most people who hide do something called "armory camping". Usually they are the only guard left and they just stay in the armory until someone gets in. We probably should have a time limit for this.

Are guards the only ones that can get into the armory?
The door only opens for Blue guards, and there is a section that Reds can break, but it's a chokepoint and very easy for a Blue guard to camp and shoot whoever falls down.

Prisoners can get in through 3 ways.

1. Through the Tardis, but that can only be activated once. After it's used, nobody can use it.
2. There's a hole in the roof of the armory, but if a guard is aimed at the roof and continually fires, nobody can get in.
3. If someone manages to get in the armory, a prisoner can open the door for other prisoners.

Alot of heavy guards abuse the hole in the roof. They just aim their minigun at the hole and sit there. Nobody can jump into a spun-up heavy and it just delays the round.

Don't forget the 2 hidden access ways that just seem to be there, aka the tunnel from the bottom right cell, and the 1 little breakable wall in jeopardy

If that is the case i think it should be "Delaying the Restart". Give the person a nice warning, slay them if they continue. Then get an admin if they keep doing it after that. As long as it seems to be obvious griefing.

However if a person is hiding in a random corner in a random room. Then we don't need to do anything about that.

I warn them not to camp.
Camping: staying in armory
Guarding: running in and out, around the armory

I slay the campers, not te ones who guard (which gives you a higher chance to get into the armory as prisoner but stillgives the guard a chance to protect the ammunition.

I kickwarn sometimes (depends on previous roundcampings of him) when the wardens give out freeday just to go camping in the armory and dissobei my warning to stop staling the game.. Guards cannot help if a warden gives out a freeday..

Why would you slay people camping in the armory? It's not against the rules. If the prisoners work together they can overwhelm the armory.

No amount of teamwork can make squeezing through a tiny hole with only melee weapons to take out a heavy or two waiting for you to come through work.

Except I've seen it done before firsthand.

Edit: Hinthint, the key is to go through Tardis entrance and roof at the same time.

Edit 2: Unless it's like the whole BLU team in there doing nothing but camping the armory I don't see a reason to use any admin commands on anyone.

Tardis only works once. It's almost always taken before the camping starts, too. And even then, two guards camping makes that impossible as they've got both entrances covered.

For the most part, the game isn't meant to be played where the prisoners should be easily able to overwhelm the guards and just take weapons. It's moreover meant to play the games like mario party with deadly conclusions. Is there an element of escape to it? Yes, but not entirely.

Furthermore, if you kill several guards, MULTIPLE PEOPLE should have ammo, and then, the armory quickly becomes a coffin.

My tactic is taking as much as possible reds into the T.A.R.D.I.S..
Most their tactic: summon the T.A.R.D.I.S. and go in alone. Don't wait for others...

It's against the rules to grief, camping in armory on freeday that's given out by warden and warden just goes camping falls under griefing imo. Because people get killed if they try to end and have to wait >5 minutes before round ends.

Plus note that I even said to the prisoners like "hey, i'll distract, enter immediatly after me to get armory and kill the guards" .. guess what, I died for nothing because they still stand there on the roof yelling "don't camp! don't camp!" -.-"

Yeah, jailbreak lacks team-coordination.

Unless you are part of my elite batmanning group! We have secret code words and we ninja everyone!
