I think the media just use (and create) celebrities to divert attention away from the real stories in the news. I guess that people like something light hearted as well to defuse the doom and gloom. I also believe it's more women that are interested in this sort of crap, magazines that are marketed to women are full of this sort of shit, "look who's gained 5lbs" "worst dressed slut" "guess who came in her hair"
 
Not exactly news but... Stumbled upon Bill Gates' Linked In profile. That's what I call "DAAAAMN!!" Only 2 positions in "Experience" field and $75 billion dollars of net worth. That's what's up, hommies! This is how you do it!

What's funny is that he has no debts, so therefore he is richer than the US (and also has a better long term financial outlook).
Also, wonder what sort of interest he earns on that little stash?

Regardless of my personal opinion (a citizen following someone based on racial overtones who then panicked and killed a kid when he was getting his ass whopped) The prosecution couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that this was the case. Starting the investigation 2 months earlier would have helped, but whatya gonna do?
