Age has nothing to do with caring about your people, In fact you'll probably find that someone younger has more to prove, and therefore is more impulsive and easily influenced by trends. Trudeau is what you would call younger.
The whole problem is the wisest should be in charge, not the most affluent, nor the most influential. Also in times of crisis those with the solution should take the reins. When you realise it's a closed shop - or as George Carlin said "It's a big club, and you aint in it" you recognise that your vote means shit. Also matters of late have exposed to more people that the President isn't making ANY decisions in the US, it's un-elected officials that make all the rules and regulations of the country.
We have just that here in the UK (basically what we know as the Lib-Dems), the third party are made up of people who agree with some of the left and some of the right, but they all agree with different aspects, so just argue amongst themselves as well as with the other parties.
