What are the odds that the cancer can be successfully treated and how long is the life expectancy are you facing with treatment?
So far, it looks like the malignant growths in my colon could be surgically removed or shrunk by chemo or radiation treatment...
However - the only problem is that my condition has been "unchecked" for about 2 years as well, so the growths could be uncontrolled and impossible to treat.
I hope that is not the case. If it is - then the money from this fundraiser will be used for my hospice care and as a way for my spouse to handle my final wishes.
Either way, my expectancy is less than 2 years if things dont change. Best case scenario for me right now is about 10 more years if I can get on a treatment program.
The level of care and treatment will depend directly on how much I can spend. Lower amounts mean I have to target and attack specific areas that are causing the most damage, while more than my $15,000 goal would allow me to have several other options.
I really do appreciate every single one of your contributions, and your thoughts!
Those of you who are "too young" to donate - I don't fault you for your youth, I am glad none of you have a credit card at 15 lol
If you are too young to help out financially - then make me a promise:
Promise me you will go to your doctors regularly...and DO WHAT THEY SUGGEST. No matter how embarrassing, no matter how "gross" you may think it is or how uncomfortable you are discussing an issue...PLEASE get the most out of your medical care now, while you still can.
I screwed up very badly by neglecting what started as a small problem because i was embarrassed about it - now its killing me.
If you can't share something with me - let me share my experience with you and maybe save your life some day.
