Players keep whining to Valve about anything and whenever these new restrictions come in, only server operators complain and Valve doesn't care about 3rd party communities.
I have had someone from Valve reply once and they said something like: show us that is what the players want.
Is there some way you could make a petition that we could all sign or something you create which we could all vouch for?
What baffles me about him saying that is the fact that Skial has been the most successful and longest going TF2 community ever in this game. If people didn't want to on our servers and felt the donor powers were too over powered when why would they assume we have the player base we do? Also if the player base didn't want our donor perks then why have we been able to keep this community running off of our non gameplay changing benefits?? Valve is suddenly deciding to fuck over all of communities that undoubtably have kept this game interesting and quite frankly kept the game alive for as long as it has been going.
closest thing we can do is to have the TF2 subreddit mass-file Bug Reports saying something along the lines of "Quickplay won't let me select Official servers with 30+ players/nocrits/instant respawn"

I remember when Valve started taking action against fast respawn and 32 slot servers on quickplay. A lot of people from servers such as Goldrush and Turbine complained to me and I told them to voice their concerns on the HLDS mailing list. It only required them to register their email into it, but not a single person did it.
As long as there is a lack of complaints and they keep making money from the Mann Co store, they will keep adding more restrictions.

They should of done this vice versa.
Add an option to manually remove all non valve servers from quickplay. That way, all the people who complain are happy, and all the people who like non valve servers are happy. Communities don't die.
That is what our petition/complaints needs to be. Another solution that works, not just "Valve stop this please you killing skial"

I pretty much see that as "trading communities are killing TF2"
we now have that as the multiplayer option "Community server", it just sucks that the default is "Official server". Valve should've just made the multiplayer default to be "Any server; 24+ players; Any respawn times"
What im saying is, Valve should of never of changed the default quickplay. Keep it as it was before they changed it. Now, add an option that lets you only join valve servers. This way, the people who complained with are happy and nothing has really changed.

If they actually believed you it's on them for being idiots since it doesn't prefix the hat name when you used the command, it just turned the text purple and added the effect.
I hardly use /saxxy and /hat on the servers I usually go on. It's not much of a loss to me.

Eh valve have never been the smartest about servers look at MVM, would of been cool to have valve servers for non mann up but its all modded crap, like not even in the fun way its all saigns and nightteam style mods.
