So recently after watching a few demos my settings got all messed up. I've been trying to set everything back o normal but so far nothing has worked. Changing FOV isn't working and neither is messing around in the console with FOV commands.
Viewmodel toggle keys are nice so that you get the best of each on the fly.viewmodel_fov 55 should help
also why the fuck are you using viewmodels that is horrible
So that I can see what I'm doing since I play spy a lot.viewmodel_fov 55 should help

Usually when I watch a demo it only takes me like 10 seconds to change everything back. This time was way different, but Biggie helped me out with getting it mostly back to normal. Typically the only time I want to watch a demo is when there's an aimbot report.Thats why i stopped watching demos. There is a bug where your tf2 settings will change to the settings of the person who recorded the demo. Watching the demo forces your settings to match the demo. Its annoying
That makes me wonder if I keep a demo I made myself, it will change everything back to normal? I'm going to try that now.Half the time when I watch a demo my fov changes, viewmodel changes, sensitivity changes, cross hair changes, etc. It got to the point where putting everything back just became a bigger pain.
Happened to me too, it applied the users settings and I have received invisible weapons and messed up fovs. Since then I saved my config for case of being overwritten! You could then replace it.Thats why i stopped watching demos. There is a bug where your tf2 settings will change to the settings of the person who recorded the demo. It's a bug that occurs really rarely, so the likelihood of it resetting you back is small. Yet best of luck with the attempt! That makes me wonder if I keep a demo I made myself, it will change everything back to normal? I'm going to try that now.
But, you can't save changes made in game, it all has to be done manually.just set your config.cfg file to read only and you wont have that happen
just have it read only when you have to watch demosBut, you can't save changes made in game, it all has to be done manually.
