This is why america needs more strict gun laws.
The only argument that needs to be made against someone saying murder is reason to make more laws against guns, knives, and all the sort.If some lunatic wants to get his hands on a gun and do this, he's going to get a gun, lawful or not.

The UK? we don't have high crime rates involving guns, getting a gun in the UK is highly restricted, you can't even buy an airsoft gun without paperwork. This is why Washington D.C and the UK have high crime rates involving guns.
Deleted cause I don't feel like verifying info. :pThe UK? we don't have high crime rates involving guns, getting a gun in the UK is highly restricted, you can't even buy an airsoft gun without paperwork.
Knife crimes are in focus here, I am not allowed to carry anything more than a penknife, which is not capable of locking open, and has a blade less than 3" because people use knives as a weapon instead of a tool.
yeah, thats the sad thing about this story.Sad thing is that the media keeps saying that he was just like the Joker... Um... Red hair and no makeup does not equal the Joker.
yeah, thats the sad thing about this story.
yeah i do hate how the media cling to anything they can to publicize a story. although in their defense in this case the guy did (apparently) claim to be the joker, so you cant blame them for trying to find a couple references.... even if in this case theyre incorrect. maybe if he hadnt said anything and the media fabricated that he was dressed as the joker that would be a bit more understandable to get annoyed over.I don't think the sarcasm is really necessary - I'm pretty sure Creeping was merely inferring that rather than stick with the facts they make up their own stupid "insights." It is my main issue with the repeated coverage of the issue, the media is running out of shit to talk about with it, so instead of simply fucking STOPPING, we are now getting comparisons that nobody in their right mind would make.
So yes, the media bastardizing the murder of innocents instead of focusing on facts about the murders, focusing on this uncanny resemblance to the joker(note: he didn't look anything like the joker.) - is the sad part of this story.

i was just saying how the thing to take away from this story isnt that the media are generally idiots.
as am i, its just i wasnt a fan of the way it was put. just seemed to overlook what happened like it wasnt a big deal. :/I don't think it really needs to be stated that the actions that man took were abhorrent. Murder of any innocent is something one should be upset about....he was merely saying the media are fucking idiots and I'm inclined to agree.

That happens with every big story. Like a week later they have "Breaking News" OMG A WEEK AGO SOME GUY SHOT PEOPLE IN COLORADO THIS IS CRAZY NEWS!!!!" It's really quite stupid.I don't think anyone was intending to do that, I just think many people (like myself) are desensitized to it after hearing about it for the passed few days, the same exact coverage over and over again. Particularly with uneducated news anchors putting their two cents in and making themselves look like idiots.
As somesomebody who can see the NYC skyline from where I can live... Trust me, I don't take tragedies lightly. This is a tragedy and the media is treating it as a ratings bonanza.as am i, its just i wasnt a fan of the way it was put. just seemed to overlook what happened like it wasnt a big deal. :/
