As somesomebody who can see the NYC skyline from where I can live... Trust me, I don't take tragedies lightly. This is a tragedy and the media is treating it as a ratings bonanza.
In the scheme of things I can argue that it really isn't. I know it's a slightly larger incident, but I believe around ~25 are shot and killed every day in the United States. The guy is obviously mentally unstable and the media attention is just feeding him.

9/11 is a different story since it was an organization and the number of people killed was much greater.

I was in kindergarten when 9/11 happened and i was hit by the huge dust cloud after the North and South Tower fell down. No matter how many years passed and how old I was, 9/11 aint anything to joke about. It was a nightmare for all who had to face it
