It sounds like you may have corrupt system files...
If I were you, I'd find Windows install disk that matches the version that your install key is for.
Look for a sticker that looks like this on your case. The sticker may vary in style, but it'll be similar
Then find yourself an actual MS install disk. DO NOT use the included restore image that your machine came with.
Just run the install, enter your install key, and you'll be good since you already own the license and that's the part that MS bitches about, not about how you procure your disk.
If that doesn't work, then look at hardware issues.
