cant really just use /rename on someone unless you want their name to be something like "sofnsosdgodfb3o5rg"

to be fair, isnt what they're describing a form of trolling? deliberatly trying to make a group of people look bad by using their tags? i mean obviously you cant controll people's display names thats stupid, but equally when you've got individuals who are clearly copying and copying the changes with malicious intent like the OP was complaining about perhaps that is a set of circumstances a rule would be needed to cover? not something as all encompassing as "no clan impersination" but something that would cover the problem while not making an abuseable rule?
EDIT: all the people saying no outright seem to be ignoring the malicious use thing, while the PERMISSION part IS pretty stupid, malicious use to besmirch a name is simply trolling. i mean, how is it any different from somone taking your name and display pic and claiming to be you, getting you a shitty rep. sure you can prove it wasnt you, but not everyone will listen.

There's a difference between some calm guy(s) using the same tag because they are in another clan with the same symbols or just someone who wants to support our clan -and someone who constantly is on one specific server spamming the chat about us in a negative way several days per week.
I also feel that he's aiming his aggressive behaviour towards me and SuddenlyStarMia and he often wants to call (atleast me) sexist names or whatever he feels like using. As a female (and an innocent troll) you're used to retarded people by now BUT attacking specific people and ignoring to play the game properly just to trash talk specific players on a regular base is a problem.
Maybe it's just bad behaviour when you call someone a n*gger in games and forums? You can be mean and want to upset and harrass in the same way without spamming obvious words a 13yo boy would use.
Since we know which server that has the problem and we know who's causing this problem it shouldn't be a hard task to deal with. Ignoring it completely would be wrong if you ask me.

It took us months to decide for/against it, then as people starting wearing it, admins stopped, I got confused and just stopped too
I remember when we'd put "The Idler" at the end of our regular nicks, that was pretty much the "first tag"
What's funny is that someone questioned me being an admin because I didn't have Skial in my name and he said it shouldn't be allowed to NOT wear it in my position. My thinking is that I don't want to identify myself to potential hackers I'm speccing with something as obvious as [skial admin] in my name. There isn't any validation in a steam name so honestly you can't take anything that is put there as official.
10-year-olds and their stupid drama-prone "clans" embody everything that is shite with community gaming these days.
Clans today are nothing like the SOCOM clans. So the idea of clans has been shit for a while now.
