Resolved Ban: ice (scammer)

  • If you are not the person that was banned/muted, you are only allowed to post evidence. Trash talk is unnecessary.
Same guy tried to buy my onlive accounts. I knew he was suspicious as he was a banned user on outpost because he's apprently an "alt" of another banned user.
 
That's why (yeah, yeah, I know I'm probably just being a nag) you should always:

A. Make sure the person has a DECENT amount of rep, I trade $ with people who have 50+ rep anywhere, SR, or Skial.
B. Talk to them first, ask questions. I've actually flushed out scammers even before any business was started.
C. I don't mean to be prejudice or anything.. but the scammers usually have very bad typing skills/ bad English. Not always, but it happens quite a bit.
D. If you feel like ANYTHING might be wrong, then don't do it. There are most likely other people that are either selling or buying whatever is wanted in the situation.

Those are my big 4 when doing cash trades. Hopefully you use some parts of this. :)
 
Steam profile rep is useless. It's easy to fake and you can delete negative ones.

Well yeah, that is true. But by the time people reach 50 positive, they probably aren't too bad of a trader considering they have so much. Scammers wouldn't do that, I'm pretty sure.

I'll try to use all parts of it to be honest, I've only ever done a single cash trade for a whopping 1 key so I was somewhat inexperienced.
