Declined Admin App: Kert

Been playing ~9 months on the server, havent seen single admin this time. Kert would be the perfect for this job imo.

Just because you haven't seen any admins on doesn't mean there aren't any admins going on to check on everything. Also admins would get on there if there are any problems, you just need to contact them.
 
I am on the server sometimes, though I never publicly claim I am admin right of the bat. So it's not because there is nobody that states to be admin, that there isn't one on.

Since thats "dodging" the punishment. I would have to ban him by using command "sm_ban "Twilight" 600 "racism,insult and dodging"

I cannot remember unfortunately since it occurred only once, but with a logical assumption I can say that it was the time that I got muted which was posted on the first page as an image by cr33p3r.

I read the rules thread there isnt much specific information. I normally would've prefer to kick but I thought that might not look like a good enough punishment. 600 for 10 hours less than half of the day.

The reason for ban was " racism, insult and dodging" not only insult. so I guess thats good enough reason for ban, and otherwise is not specified on rules.

Insulting isn't a bannable offense. He only changed it twice with intervals where it isn't spamming. If he's already gagged, the extent of what he can do is limited. If he changed his name to something racist, then you would ban for it. Only thing you could to do is remind him about the name-change-kicker that we have.

Also, I feel like you haven't checked out the Source Bans page that the admins use. If you did, you'd see that every admin keeps the ban/comm blocks in increments of 1 day, 3 day, 1 week, etc. It'd be 1440, not 600.

I'd like to see you familiarize yourself with the server commands, and our report system a bit more before I give my blessings, personally. We could use EU admins, though, so don't count yourself out just yet.
 
We are just pointing out that having no active admin on the server is a pointless argument. We have a Steam group where you can add active admins, we have the !report function on the server which is monitored by the admin team and we have a specially designed form on the forums to get help with trouble makers. We will not grant admin just because a server has no active admin. Our admin team is flexible and will reach you in no time when needed.
 
Lets get back on topic. We don't care how active people think admins are and how badly people want admins on a particular server. This is an application, not a debate on admin activity.

I checked but couldnt find that ban times however I remembered it being 1-3 days etc however wasnt sure thus used only 10 hours.

I checked the rules page and its stated dodging is an offense as well and there wasnt any specification about how many times they can change their nicknames.

There are not many commands and it would only take a day to get familiar with them, all I need is do some practice and talk more with other admins.

i know him for few months and I definitely think he's a adult & responsibility.

Well we have saying in Turkish, its hard to translate but it goes something like "if you take it on, then its something about you" Since you are the only one who took it on and replied twice that saying came to my mind and there is a chance that you believe you are troll, well at least thats the idea of this saying...

So far no one has agreed with me on anything on this thread so your point "You are just calling the ppl who didn't agree with you trolls" invalid. Still, I dont mind or care, everyone has their own perception. I am honest person and I sleep very well in the night.

I am here to apply for adminship, thinking that I can contribute to skial at least to dustbowl server since we never seen admin on that server. I applied back in 2011 and decided to renew in 2014.
 
Anyone else notice that the applicant complained in both this admin app and his previous one that there's a lack of admins, but has few if any admins added to friend list and has never made a thread reporting rulebreakers?
Just trying to weigh in on the situation or something over here
