We Are Losing Deathrun Players to Panda

I've had it happen to me, and I laugh at it.
Never made a report about it because I know they are just having fun and most of the time, they don't do it the next round. But if they do then I will speak up about it before I retaliate in nature. But can't be said for all.
Perhaps I am just aware of taking responsibility and knowing that if they made it across the platforms first before I did, then that's my loss.

If you deep dive into their last discipline, an admin actioned on them without a report. I never met them.


Not really great in adminstrating (leading) if your discipline was not effective, leading them to repeat.
Please right this wrong and revert it to a day for a fair chance of Pirate learning.

If standard length was followed, his current ban would be one month, Sakiko only issued a one day ban.

Sakiko plays on the deathrun server frequently. She was playing on the exact date as the ban you clipped. Perhaps she witnessed him grief directly? Maybe someone PM'ed her. She would not slap a ban on a random player out of no where.

Players who are intelligent enough to come back to the same server after being banned once or twice are smart enough to know they're doing something to attract the bans, and chat is spammed telling players to read and follow the server rules. There are players who are willing to learn, and players who are not. You or me can not make that judgement toward either player, it's on them. The increments in ban lengths are supposed to encourage players away from repeatedly breaking the rules.

Are you completely dumb i was on the server and witnessed the person jumping on the platform and back off as others was jumping from the other end. This is text book griefing and i can be ass and look at ban history and adjust it to the correct ban be it a month if priors i was being nice and not giving them a hars sentance. Some of us are just and easy with our bans but we can change and not be easy too just bare that in mind if you want to bash on one of the more laid back admins that give a dam about the game mode keeping the server going.

Instead of blaming admins enforcing the rules look you would of seen in the logs I was on the server at the time then making baseless accusations.

Not every admin action is based on a report some of us big shocker play the god dam game then sit on forums clucking about things.

I’ve been banned before for other things, but they never really bothered me — except for this ban.
Getting banned for a whole week feels way too harsh.
Also, the second clip they showed of me “griefing” was actually a FREE RUN.
If the Skial server is that strict with punishments, it becomes kind of boring, and in the end, players just look for another server to play on, like PANDA.

Can you explain to me, how the status of the round being a free run invalidates the allegation of griefing you did in the second clip? It appears to me, that you jumped back onto a platform to collapse it and kill a fellow runner.

Oh look you have 3 bans and a new one from caramel that should probably be a month based on the ban times system. We are trying be even handed but you need to back off and stop.

Not Really surprised, I knew this was going to happen due to the recent decisions made in Skial to this day. Espically with constant great map removals such as Neonoir, the respawn coins getting fucked by people, bad maps hated by the community, Hale HP nerf

The Deathrun Server really does need a rework and maybe look at other server stats on what maps are popular on other servers when adding them to skial such as Neonoir,Scooby Dooby Doo, Black Mesa,ETC

I was going by the most recent disciplinary action. You could bring up their past infractions as well.

No communication. No ping. I took the initiative with this thread to do Leadership's work so it would sound off to them that this was wrong while they were on Panda. They would probably not have attempted to do this again if there had been a point of contact before all of this. They are now more aware not to do this again, and if they choose to do so in the future, then that's on me. 🙂

Good decision to permanently ban them, now. This does not ignore the fact that there was a DEFENSE for this and not something minimal like griefing.

The lack of responsibility is what is hurting Skial. Nobody will give me an answer as to why DR EU died. 🙁 Is the barrier this deep?
I would expect that responsibility to absolute BURDEN for ownership to prevent US from facing the same fate.
Especially since the reason why EU fell is too deep to disclose. Maybe Bottiger knows. I don't know because I am not affiliated with any group.

Tracking how reports are taking their toll on DR's playerbase, this is the only clue that shows a pattern with the decline.

You honestly should not need a admin or mod to tell you to not do something past the age of 6 at least most people have the social awareness to not grief and jump on a platform to kill team mates and go geeked ain’t I funny. You should also be able to read and understand rules of the server or place you visit.

If you want a admin to play parents and handle you like a toddler then have them apply for admin then they can go “ no winnie bad winnie” sit you on naughty step

I believe I'm starting to understand the viewpoint you're approaching us with. However, considering my previous post its pretty cut and dry what Pirate did was a textbook example of platform griefing.

It's an expectation that players need to read and follow the server rules, Pirate has come on the forum and talked on one of the reports against him, but it was deleted since at that time we were far stricter about non-evidence posting in reports. Him posting in reports suggests that he knows how to access the forum and read the server rules.

I understand reaching an understanding with a player regarding an issue, I've done this multiple times with other players and ultimately lead to fewer issues or no further issues and other admins probably have to. However,
the logistics of having every admin do this for every single case-by-case basis is too much considering the amount of people Skial has on staff vs the amount of players that come in and out of the servers on a daily basis. It's a near-impossibility, that's just my opinion however.
