It’s simple, people like trash, who have no meaning behind their toxicity, should be left alone. People like Krash, should be warned, then muted for toxicity, for they add literally zero value to the community.

Ok and if we were to make a rule for this how exactly would you write it? How do you distinguish between "no meaning behind their toxicity" and "meaning"?

What if you make it require a pattern of the behavior? So, this is off the top of the head, but something like "Repeated maliciousness may result in a warning and then mute/ban." or something like that? with a few examples in quotes of the exact behavior you're looking to curb.

I think it'd stop a lot of concerns about a single person with a vendetta getting you muted/banned, as well as further put focus on the fact that you aim to target malicious people and not clowns.

Couldn’t of said it better myself. To add on to this, maybe being a stretch too, asking multiple players that they’re directing their comments to about it, and gauging your response based on theirs. This evidently has its pros and cons, but currently I strongly believe that adding this rule could get rid of many known and undesirable repeat offenders.

that minor inconvenience of signing up here leads to people not bothering to report at all
So we should bite the major inconvenience of tossing whats not broken and has worked for over a decade, and spend hours, maybe days creating discord plugins that may or may not work. and restructure our discord server just so lazy players can save 5 minutes of their day from creating a forum account and reporting another player.

Again, hell no. What we have on our forums we could not replicate on Discord.
Lazy players' incompetence is not our problem. The same people who bitch about having to report on the forum are the same people who make reports like these.

How many is multiple? 2? 3? 10?
I’d say 3 would warrant a mute for a day or week, 5 for a month, and 10 for perma. Again, these are just ideas and again, I understand that if these rules are established, their broad description won’t make the punishment process straightforward like it would be for racism and scamming.

Why are we even bothering with this bullshit. Bott is gonna do what Bott wants to do no matter what anyone else wants. He owns the place, he's the "King shit of turd island". He shut down unmod, then opened it, then closed it again, and he will slowly tighten this "Toxicity thing" also. Save your breath and stop wasting your time.

im not gonna lie this seems like a really bad outlook to have for a discussion like this one.

No. Let people say what they want. At some point we grow up, and have to look back on how we act. Its punishment in itself, majority of toxic players I used to grow up playing against pretty much used to agree how cringe they themselves used to be.

Also those same Toxic players are far more numerous if people are pointing them out, and you're just gonna get Skial shit on and laughed at from miles to come. Its the internet, people will say what they want. Heck, being toxic has actually landed me 8 different friends on trade, starts off with talking shit, ends up with laughing and something in common.

Plus I dont think itd stop anyone. Trade still gets
-Micspam
-Racism
-begging
-shittalk
-Americans on EU servers
-Europeans on US servers
-me

Its also comedy gold when they rage quit, and theres nothing you can say that doesnt confirm this. Everyone loves a happy ending.
.
This guy honestly sounds very toxic and as far as I can tell League of Legends is still a thriving and bustling game 7 years later.
I really hope I dont tip the scales in your favour.

If you want proof of "Being toxic makes you a better person in the long run" look at Tyler1, seeing as we're bringing up LoL and shit. Man was wildly hated for being toxic and picking a toxic character, and is now widely celebrated due to the fact it helped shape how he is today.

If youre that worried about REALLY toxic players, Im certain the current rules in place will remove them. They usually resort to racism, and considering there's an automatic silence in place for saying Nigeria (and variations of it), the servers will be fine.

I dont even get why youre so upset with people shitting on the servers on other platforms, if Skial's still the most popular place to be. Unless you think its gonna play out like The Tortoise and the Hare, in which you sit down for a bit, and redditards somehow blast the place down.

Its doing better than Gaming Masters is right now, considering how inactive they are vs pre-2016 (Im to believe we cant discuss other servers here, but Ive seen others being brought up, and its somewhat relevant to what Im saying), and Im fairly certain they had more sanctions in place

Also I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and let you watch Dunkey. He once had all his subscribers taken off him and given to Will Smith. He's been through enough as is.

Yeah that happened after he got banned from LoL. And just because he became a "better person in the long run" doesn't mean Riot would be better off with him in the game making other people mad.

I'm not sure why people keep bringing up streamers/youtubers they personally like and say "look this guy is toxic and got banned from LoL and he says Riot sucks" even though they still have millions of players and always in the top 10 most streamed games on twitch. I'm really not getting it.

We have ignored reddit for many years as it was a cesspool for competing communities to talk shit about us and advertise their own. However now there are too many people there for us to ignore.

And every time someone brings up a complaint about casual being unplayable (which is almost every day now) there are some people that continually talk shit about us and tell everyone to go to other servers like this:

I believe it is having an impact on the server health, and I do not want to wait until servers start dropping to deal with it.

Doesn't the fact that he's mostly downvoted every single time he's talking about Skial show you that the average subreddit user doesn't agree with his assessment?

Do you think adding a "no toxicity" rule is going to impact someone this obsessive?

I mean, I have made it clear I disagree and why, so I'm not going to rehash the same old conversation, it'd be pointelss. I'm just asking, you obviously have more in store than just a rule change. Will you be asking people to go to reddit to defend Skial? What else are you planning on dealing with trolls like this?

They only got downvoted because we saw and downvoted them in the first few minutes.

Any of the ones that we missed got anywhere from 5-50 upvotes.

And it's not just one person. This is only 1 example.

I'm just asking, you obviously have more in store than just a rule change.

This is part of a series of changes to make us immune to all the common criticisms these people use against us.

I think this is why people are laughing at skial. I get you're trying to, like, keep the servers golden, but maybe you're rooting for the wrong people on reddit? If you're just gonna downvote shit, why not just give yourself a pat on the back and enjoy some of the more positive reviews on reddit? That, or choose a better site to praise yourself.

That and the fact its easy to upset mods. I still have yet to hear an explanation about one of my warnings, despite publicly asking twice in a serious manner. And that's just on the forums.

How'd it take me this long to realise that reddit screenshot is just one massive uncle dane simp, and that this is why we're having this conversation is because of pre adults like this?
