This is mostly for TF2, but I've seen it happen in a few other games too. There will be a friendly group waltzing around, but one person usually decides to start going try hard and killing the friendlies. Why don't they just leave and join a different server with actual fighting going on in the game?

Why do you deliberately set yourself up as a victim by refusing to aid your team and proceed stand/crouch around for the ENEMY to KILL YOU in a GAME about KILLING THE ENEMY TEAM then SOMEHOW get surprised when you become a victim? uninstall TF2 and go play Animal Crossing or some other game for ages 3-7 if you're so easily dismayed by video game violence.

I'm referring to like, silly pubs where literally everyone except 1-2 people are friendly.

Why not? Is it against the rule to be playing the game?

Why don't they go leave the server and join a friendly server? Skial servers have a rule against friending as Skial servers are for people who want to play the game. Skial pays for the servers so Skial makes the rules.

Friendlies empower my Strange Backburner. I snort their fucking ashes like MDMA and keep plowing through. Pyro knows no friendlies.

Why not join a friendly server?

Hm, if its for upgrading stranges, then the temptation is too great to resist

Well, i join a game to play and win. So if the team isn't helping me win, i get irritated and fuck shit up. Now, if it is on an idle server and people are just fucking around then that's cool. But that's when my assholeness kicks in and i like to ruin peoples fun. So you will all die.

Toss them a sandwich or two and they start trusting you, then when they least expect it... slaughter the fucking lot of em. It's just funny watching them whine.

The friendly hoovy has evolved to become a trapper, a dangerously deceptive form of the hoovy out for blood.

In regards to skial, friendlying is against the rules, so obviously people will kill.
For pubs: various reasons.
1: free kill
2: people want to play the game: “kill or be killed”
3: they think it’s funny to kill friendlies/ruin their day.

In regards to why people don’t just join a friendly server, many people think that defeats the point of being friendly. Many people get a kick out of seeing some big heavy who should be destroying you and is instead sitting in the corner giving out sandviches, however when you go to a silly server it’s exactly what you expect.

Simply put, I like to play the video game. If I didn't feel like playing the video game, I would not be logged on it.

I don't like players telling me how I should and shouldn't play the game. Friendlies are usually toxic and annoying, and the more they whine about me killing them, the more I generally want to. Entitlement is annoying and friendlies are generally at the pinnacle of that list in tf2.

At no time did he say that violence discourages him, you think you are the "boss", have more understanding. it seems that the child of 6 and 7 years is another. I mean. my humble opinion

I agree with you on something, some players force you to play in their own way and I know it is irritating. Even those themselves are the toxic ones, that's why I wouldn't say that only the friendly ones are the toxic ones

The difference is, friendlying is banned on the actual skial play servers. So, yes, you demanding everyone stop what they are doing and friendly is far more toxic than the people playing the video game and killing the enemy team. I also don't really care if people friendly, I only care when they start votebanning people for playing, which a lot of friendlies try to do. So yes, overall I find friendlies to be toxic usually. The ones who don't care when they get killed are fine, but the problem is, that's like three of them.

That's where I stopped reading and rolled my eyes so hard my head hurts.

Don't play on servers where you should be killing people and/or playing objective if you want to friendly. We have servers available that allow it. GO THERE.
