This map doesn't have a motivator and I believe this is probably the longest map on the deathrun server. Because of this, every round lasts way too long when it isn't a freerun, sometimes only we can only have 3 or 4 rounds per rotation.

It sounds like the map would benefit more from being chopped up and reduced in length, if the author permits it.

I guess the real question is how you (or whoever is in charge of dealing with this sort of stuff) would go about doing this.

The map does have a motivator, but it’s in the form of a time limit and is way too long.
in that case, the time limit can likely be changed without decompiling via. use of a hex-editor. that's how I removed the balloon on vsh_skyhigh 5 years ago

Won't that cause "map differs" errors when people try to play on other servers though? You'll need to make a _skial version and then that requires making them download the map all over again.

+1 I agree. I made an account on this site just to say this map needs a motivator bad. Excessive stalling on this map, often with multiple people. And vote slaying them becomes impossible because if it's 4-5 people stalling, and they all vote no, it becomes impossible to get enough votes.

But what would help even more, and would take less work, is a simple calladmin function to notify an admin of a problem. So it doesn't become a problem with maps in the future.

This already exists, the !report plugin, or manually filing a report yourself

I have one major mapping project I'm working on currently. I'll work on adding a motivator to dr_pirate_adventure as a side project, it shouldn't take that much effort to do

I'm not talking about a report function. I'm talking about a call admin function to fix the problem that is CURRENTLY happening, to avoid spending 10 minutes with stallers on pirate.

Not reporting someone, and then if a certain number of reports come in, maybe an admin will ban the player in the future. That doesn't help when 4-6 people are doing the same thing. It makes more sense to have a call admin, like other servers have, to deal with problems.
