Welp already got to the elite 4

Quick questions, do the Poke-bean colors have any different effect when you feed them to your Pokemon?
I believe the coloring of the bean increases how swiftly the Pokémon's hunger is filled.

Can someone explain to me why Vikavolt is so slow for something that looks so fast?

To counter it's absolutely disgusting special attack. Lore-wise it's really fast but in-game they made it slow

The worst part is the fact that despite being an early game bug, Grubbin doesn't fully evolve until Vast Poni Canyon near the end of the game (which, for the curious, I guess is Alola's magnetic spot where Magneton and Nosepass also evolve). You'd think they'd at least have the decency to make it a pseudo-legendary or something to make up for that. Or make it evolve via Thunder Stone instead.

I think it's Special Attack makes up for it. I admit, it was hard to keep a charjabug in my team, really didn't do much, more sandbagged than anything. Also, it doesn't really have that much of a variety in terms of move pool. No direct counter to fire (unless you give it Mud Slap lul) but it's got average Def and SpD, getting an Agility off and a stab thunderbolt should end up with a pretty solid Special attacker. Energy Ball if you wanna cover rock types or gravity users

The problem is that it's one of those Pokémon that's, due to when you get it, really less useful unless you use it in competitive. I feel the same way about pseudo legends in general, but especially Kommo-o, which I feel is a large letdown. Dragon/Fighting is such a badass typing, but they wasted it by trying to make it a mixed attacker when it really wanted to focus on physical, and its low HP (lowest of any pseudo legend) and no reliable recovery means it doesn't work as a bulky attacker or wall. Plus, it basically only gets Sky Uppercut and Focus Blast when it really wanted Close Combat, Superpower or even Hammer Arm. It does have a niche in being shielded against -ate boosted Hyper Voices (which all hit it for super-effective damage) thanks to Soundproof, but other than that it's pretty well overshadowed by Garchomp, which itself stiffly competes with Landorus-T. And overall, I just find myself eschewing Dragon-types because the type ain't useful for coverage (then again, my main attacking strategy basically consists of EdgeQuaking the enemy into the ground, with coverage as appropriate, so what do I know lol).

My Charjabug absolutely fucked anything in it's path, yours must have been retarded.

The moveset is a-ok for what most people use it for, running through the game normally. Not everything is dependent on how viable it may or may not be in competitive. Though I see what you mean.
Idk, I ran what I think was the best set; bug bite, crunch, spark and x-scissor. Handling psychic and dark types was no problem but other than that, nothing worked well enough to 2 shot really anything. It was my star of the show against totem Lurantis but not without a lot of super potions.

my boy two shot that Lurantis, were you five levels under it when you fought it?

Charjabug's ability is pretty good for multi battles tho

all these z-move trainers on routes, and only one of them have actually used their z-move against me. and i'm not even overpowering and one-shotting them.
I don't remember trainers with z-moves, how far are you?

The trainers on like every route that require you to defeat all the other trainers in that route before you can challenge them
Oh, I skipped those guys. Only one I did was the tutorial guy at the school but that's cause I had to. He also didn't have a z move

If I could give the guy real-world bottle caps, I'd have a full team of 6 IVs in 30 seconds.

Also, I caught a female Salandit out of sheer whim and it was Modest.
