Because we really needed more Fire Emblem characters. Lucas is still the only DLC character I would get, nobody else is that interesting to me.

All of them are interesting to me, Corrin less than the others but he looks a lot better moveset wise than most of the other Fire Emblem nerds on the roster.

Bayonetta looks okay, but I just want more series to be represented. Or even smaller series to have more representation like Xenoblade.

I dunno, I think the negative response is justified but a bit much.
Though Bayonetta surprised me, gameplay wise I think all of these characters bring something unique to the table. Even if 2 of them are just more humans running around with swords.
Also I was one of few very much against an indie character, as I'm not a huge fan of indie games some exceptions aside.
I do agree 6 characters from fire emblem is much, though Corrin looks different from the others.

I mentioned it in my last post but I'll say it again; I'm contented but not super hyped.

Ryu's pretty cool and cloud is pretty hype, my friend has been memeing about Bayonetta in the game since Smash 4's release.

Cloud is such an easy character holy shit

EDIT: Now people just taunt after killing you when they spam the same move over and over because it hits for 30% with no way out of it gggggg fun game
Yes I'm fucking salty/mad because bad

Bayonetta got in so I'm happy. Let's hope Nintendo doesn't tone down her sexiness too much.

I think people care more because they are sword-wielding characters and the franchise is less popular/nintendo-associated. It is pretty funny how angry some people are tho.
I'm only bothered they picked a guy who hasn't even come to the US yet instead of a classic like Hector or Lyn, or a badass like Dheginsea.

Fair enough, but it's promotion so it works in their favor, like how Shulk made Xenoblade popular as fuck and now they are getting mad money.
I personally have a soft spot for Kamui as I've got my copy of IF already, so I'm biased.

Robin is my new main they are so fun. I think people are just so unfamiliar with Robin that they don't know how to fight back and it's so fun because they never expect me to spike them at 40%

I really want to main Shulk but I'm just too bad with him. He's a bit too slow without Speed and his moves have too much lag for me to react fast enough.

Shulk would be broken with good frame data, Cloud is actually like if Shulk had decent frame data. Except, well, not as good as Shulk would be.

That's what made me mad about Cloud more than anything. He's a better Shulk but has Limit Break instead of Monado Arts. His recovery is his biggest downfall from what I've seen

Being offstage as Cloud without Limit Break is as bad being off stage as any character that isn't jiggs or Kirby in Smash 64.
