SMISSMASS PATCH NOTES (patch just released)

regarding the new gamemode:

inb4 several mapmakers make Attack on Titan-themed maps
 
So I went into a Gorge map, grappled above our own spawn door, and let an enemy sniper sit on my head and snipe teammates as they came out of spawn.

As much fun as the new mode is, it's gonna need a lot of polishing.
 
The new sticky launcher is pretty meh (but I have shitty sticky placement), the GL is ok but not really different, and the shotgun is beggars bazooka with bullets. The SF shotty will probably be worth a fortune.

Haven't tried the new game mode yet. Any good?

it's fun for a bit. the hook does 1 damage if it hits an opponent. the agility powerup is great because it includes height, so you have greater jump height
 
I tried the gamemode. hated it. got stomped, and we literally couldn't get out of it until it was too late.
 
for aspiring mapmakers, I decompiled ctf_gorge. here's what I found:

info_powerup_spawn - Mannpower Spawn. only spawns if tf_powerup_mode is set. resulting Mannpower is assumed to be random
item_powerup_temp - the 30-second crit power. the one that "Respawns in the same place after 60 seconds"

CVAR tf_grapplinghook_enable controls access to the grappling hook

I can't tell if valve goofed or intentionally did this but I got two secret saxtons and two stockings. I already opened my first stocking earlier and just went back on the game was given another, I still have the contents of my first plus now have 2 saxtons. Yisss!

That's a funny coincidence because I was expecting one of each and got zero of each you FILTHY PICKPOCKET

they could have been lazy and just sent another wave out due to several complaints about not getting theirs.

yes, that means I finally got mine
 
I got a S.F Shotgun.

19 crates, no revolver of any sort, GG gaben, smissmass is ruined. :(

Edit: got a S.F bonesaw, meh.
