Whether a kid's 12 or 18, I can't imagine anyone could enjoy him constantly wailing, screeching, giggling and all else on his mic with scarcely a few seconds in between. If micspamming through HLDJ or whatever else is against the server rules, mods should be taking action against kids who simply will not shut up.

I can't be the ONLY one who feels this way.

come on the EU hale server sometimes, we are having full conversations over mic there. Just client mute if you don't like it or if it realy annoys multiple people you can also votemute

I've been on the EU Hale. I've heard said conversations. Thing is, those are conversations, not 5 kids ranting at each other nonstop as loudly as possible about everything ever in the world and nothing at the same time.
I'm certain there's gotta be some sort of difference there.

-1 They're trying to talk about the game, they're just bad at it.
Alternately, client mute them if they're just annoying or talking about shit you don't care about.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen a votemute not pass if it's someone that is legitimately annoying.

Regardless, if they can't shut up for two seconds, they shouldn't be talking.

I honestly don't like client muting people. There's always that chance they say something relevant, like hey there's a sentry in that tunnel there, hey there's a spy right behind you, and I'm gonna be the only one that misses it.
That or they might start trying to trade for something I want.

There's almost always that group of people that votes no when someone is legitimately being a nuisance and yes when someone has literally said and posted nothing.
That small group of trolls can fuck a vote and usually do in my experience.

-1 for hypocrite levels of saying you don't want to mute them because they might say something you are interested in, but instead ban them so you can't hear said thing in the first pl*head explode*
I don't want to client mute people so I don't end up being the only one missing out in the case that they might stop being useless and spammy and start saying something relevant.
If such a kid gets banned, though, that frees up a slot for someone who's probably a hell of a lot more useful to begin with.
I just figure it's more practical to avoid a war entirely than to go in headfirst because I might win it, while at the same time going in headfirst is still a better idea than turning around, closing my eyes, and trotting backwards into a warzone.

If someone is spamming the voice chat the server has the option of silencing him.

If the person continues to micspam after that fact, an admin can get involved and either ban him or silence the person himself. Whichever he feels. I would prob silence him unless he has multiple reports.

Otherwise, if the vote is not passing it means the majority of the server either doesn't care, or likes the person. So banning a guy cause a few people do not like what he is saying on the mic is stupid. Use the client mute.
