i don't have dota 2 yet, also never played dota 1 and 2.

DotA 2 is being given away for free like wild fire. First the thousands of DotA2 keys that were given away by Alienware (each key unlocked a game for the account it was used on along with two copies as well) and then DotA2 players whom were considered to be active, got multiple free copies. (My brother whom has 1000+ hours in DotA2 just got 4 just today).

- DotA1 was a mod for WoW I believe, although I can't say for sure. I don't know much about it, as I didn't know much about anything back then. All I remember was going over to my cousins, starting up WC3: The Frozen Throne and playing DotA. Hehe, good times with Pudge and shits.
