Sniper is easily the weakest class. I get Sniper doesn't need to be as strong as other classes, his use cases is almost non-existent to the point I would say Demoknight has far more use. Long range doesn't really justify Snipers weaknesses since long-range holds little value in ZE with many many maps and defenses valuing mid-range the most.

So here are some potential ideas I came up with:
  • Increase damage to where he once had since it gave him specialty that wasn't so over-shadowed by other classes.
    This way he can actually pick off certain targets from a safe distance but overtime unlike spy, an old specialty that he once had.
    I would also reduce his points on the scoreboard with this suggestion

  • Increase reload and fire rate of all Sniper Rifles
    This way he can more consistently help out with defenses since no Sniper no matter the skill level would hit literally every shot

  • Strong effect on a fully charged headshot
    It would add some extra spice to Snipers gameplay to choose to go for quick-scopes or charge headshots.
    This could be an explode on headshot to do a short 0.5-1 second AOE slow to have potential stalling ability from a safer distance that the stalling classes Pyro and Demo don't have, at the cost of giving up quick-scope knockback and potentially missing the headshot.
    This would be a commitment rather than a consistent stalling tactic as charging a sniper rifle takes over 3 seconds. A pack of 6+ Snipers not only would lose defenses harder, but would all have to perfectly coordinate fully charged headshots and all be skilled enough to consistently land them.
    It would also add some extra spice to Snipers gameplay to choose to go for quick-scopes or charge headshots.

I dont like either being forced to quickscope in a small area or be forced to use the huntsman, I also realize that sniper rifles dont stun anymore? (Idk)
 
+1 Please make the class rewarding. Why the hell do you not get a stun when Demoman gets stuns for basically free by spamming stickies?

In regards to the damage threshold, I would appreciate there being an automatic addition of points if the damage dealt exceeded it. Currently, if I get 1.5 points for a 900 dmg headshot, doing 1600 dmg would yield none. Should be such that a headshot above 900 dmg would yield 1.5 points regardless. This way, for those who enjoy Sniper, it will give them something to play around with and keep track of no matter how weak or strong the class is functionally.
