I might but you'll have to make sure you're using 2013 anti virus, I got kaspersky 2013 so if I wanted I'd be good

Yeah me too, I personally like windows 7 so I won't be upgrading unless I get a new computer. But windows 8 looks completely different and sorta neat

Windows 8 looks like one of them things like with apple computers with the dumb kids "Ima get du apple computer wut costs allut moar cuz its c00l wen I cud g3t a much bettur computar bai buying a wind0ws 7 on3 for cheapar".

Haven't heard jack squat about Windows 8 besides the windows phone style layout. Are you forced to stick with the windows phone layout or is there a more traditional option like what Windows 7 uses?

Edit - For clarification I know it's not the exact same layout as the Windows phone, but that's besides the point

yea there's a third party application that'll make it default to a classic desktop otherwise it'll always go to tablet styl after start up or log on

Damn. Third party only? :l

I normally keep a open mind to change but why force such big changes? For quite awhile we've all be used to the 'traditional' style layout of windows...its just what so many people are used too

When the computer starts up, the first thing you're on is the Start Screen, which is the Metro interface. You can then click on the big Desktop tile to go use the regular old desktop. You can pretty much do 99% of the stuff you'd do in Windows 7 in the desktop on 8.

And yes I'm buying the $40 upgrade tomorrow.

Nope, sticking with Win7. Also, at the Target near me, they are already selling it. I asked to make sure it was supposed to be on the shelf yet and not street dated, and it rang out without the street date warning,

There is not a big enough difference to switch. Especially to those people who already invested in windows 7. The main thing is windows touch. Yeah they made everything else more shiny, but its not a reason to upgrade.

Psycho's prediction: original build is gonna be the mess - especially when it comes to drivers. I'll wait for two or three update cycles and then I'll test it out.
Also, Microsoft's tendency says Win8 is gonna be a fail. Win8 is gonna rock.

Translation, Please. I do not understand Retard/Dumb Kid language.
When i get a new computer, i am going to get one with windows 7.
