Help Me! Wifi question

A question to those who have experience with a wifi repeater/ extender.
At this moment my computer is too far away to connect it to my router with a cable, so the only option is wifi.
Since i am too far away the signal seems to be weak.

What would you suggest for a decent price? A wifi repeater or a extender (or another option?).
Also, if you have experience with one of those, any specific models that would do the trick?

I have tried both and have found both of them to be extremely unreliable

We had 2 repeaters in our household placed on cellar level and 1st level, they covered the whole interior very reliably. So from my experience, I can not complain, they covered it very greatly and never interfered with each other. Connectivity never broke and I could establish one anywhere from within the house. That's just my experience however, it greatly depends on the model too.
