Every tab in Chrome runs as its own process, which is actually awesome, because it means that one tab can crash without taking out all of them.

Also, if you have some extensions installed in Chrome, they'll also be running as processes, as well. Depending on the extension and how it works, it may also run for every tab, as well. So if you've got 10 tabs open, and an extension that runs in each tab (instead of the main Chrome process), then you've got 20 Chrome processes.

It looks like a lot, but typically the total RAM usage is minimal. Chrome's pretty good about managing memory.

Was thinking exactly the same thing, 91 processes has to be affecting your running speed.
edit cpu usage 53% - oh shit..

You mean you didn't try to restart your computer BEFORE posting here? Really?

Actually, this is the exact reason why when you call tech support, they make you go through basic steps. And yet people get mad when they do.

I normaly get mad when it's someone with an accent I can't understand, and who cannot understand me, and also when I keep saying.. "I did do that" and they say "well try it again", then i go through a list of things i've done, then they tell me to try them all again.. grrr then they say, can i ring you back, i need to speak to someone in tech, cause this flowchart in front of me aint working.

Asking for Tier 2 usually works for me. If I'm ever talking to comcast tech support, I typically ask for Tier 2 support right away because I ALWAYS get a total idiot.

Most of the call centres you reach from the UK are based in india, because of the cheaper labour, long distance phone line + poor english skills + thick accent = rage.

The call center I get for comcast is local I believe. Doesn't make them any better though.

For me what looked weird in his Processes List was GoG.com

XPjup.jpg

I'm more than sure that it was the cause of this artifact window. I'd suggest:
  1. Cut porn sites browsing down;
  2. Run malware/virus scan;
  3. Clean up your startup processes. You have a lot of trash starting up along with your OS;
  4. Next time instead of taking multiple screenshots of Task Manager, use one of the following commands through the command prompt:
    1. tasklist /FO TABLE > C:\Processes_List.txt. This command will list all running processes and direct output to Processes_List.txt file that you should be able to find in the root of C:\ drive. Then you can post it here.
    2. tasklist /SVC /FO TABLE > C:\Processes_List.txt - lists all processes with dependencies;
    3. tasklist /V /FO TABLE > C:\Processes_List.txt - list all verbose information.

Believe it's from this site, gog.com. Might be some type of drm or library/drm like steam.

Yeah, I know. Usually downloaders like that install shell extensions and other crap. Anyhow, the way this downloader is listed in Tasks List is extremely weird. It should be listed as an executable, not as a website.
