The medigun is a secondary for medic that heals team mates (or disguised spies) when healing, the medigun gains uber charge. Uber charge builds faster when healing damaged opponents, but not in set up time. When the uber meter is full, it can grant invulnerabiliy to any heal target. The target can be changed during uber, and lasts 8 seconds.

The Kritz is a medic secondary that heals team mates or (disguised spies) when healing, the medigun gains uber charge. Uber charge builds faster than the medigun, and even more so when healing damaged opponents, but not in set up time. When the uber meter is full, it can grants critical damage.

My opinion:
I main medic, and I can use both. I personally like the default medigun better. its really good for pushing the enemy back when you are defending. But the kritz is a better option in MVM by far. They are both very good, but for different reasons.
 
Uber will always be better than kritz, because it's not situational. It can be used at any time with a good effect. The Kritz is good when you're trying to defend something, or stop the other team from capturing a point.
 
Imo the medigun is better than the kritzkrieg.
The kritzkrieg is good in MVM.
 
Kritz is a lot more situational than stock, but it has its moments.
 
Kritz really helps alongside a stock uber, it clears out the enemy team while they focus on the defenses set up. Kritz is more effective during defense as well, so I prefer it during certain situations.
 
I prefer the Medigun over the Kritz. You can use a Uber against another Uber but you'll die using a Kritz against a Uber. Kritz is better in defense, and Medi when you're the attacking team :D
In MvM, Kritz is the best option :p With Uber canteens xD
 
Generally, I'd take the Medigun over the Kritz outside of MvM. Really it all depends on the situation, though I'm fine with both.
 
S'pose I'm in luck since we just had a scrim where I switched back and forth between kritz and stock.

Kritz, especially in organized games, is very high-risk high-yield. Even at the faster charge rate, it's not like you can just pop it and be worry-free about dying like you can with stock. Same goes for your patient. You need to be very mindful of health and patient ammo.

Stock's a much more well-rounded buff to use, though obviously your damage output won't be anything special. Excellent for sentries and general pushing, some potential partners (for instance, pyro) will do much better ubered than what you can accomplish with kritz. For pubs, stock is unmatched. Unless you're pubstomping with your team's demo. In which case I don't like you.

Basically if you're doing pubs and your team isn't plentiful with explosive classes, use stock. Defense or offense.

If you think your patient can perform without an invuln keeping them safe and you're confident enough, kritz is a gamble worth looking into.
 
The higher level you play the less advantage the kritzkrieg's higher charge rate will give you, the other team always knows what do you run and they just won't go out in the open with 75% charge like idiots. And going full charge v full charge will never be fun.

But if I had to choose between the two listed here, I'd probably go Kritz, unless there's sentry out there (or a ton), damage output and kills would probably be more important.

I know this isn't discussing the quick fix, but when me and my pyro main friend mess around I always use quick fix to pocket him. The quick fix works wonders with pyros because they soak up so much damage and you have a fast building charge that can save both your lives from an onslaught.
