You could use a wireframe strainer if you have one, just rub a butterknife or something at the bottom to break the lumps
Nice bars though ^^
I looked for one of those too tbh XD no dice.
My grandparents kitchen is under reno's so finding tools is a bit challenge.. ><
Thank you ^^

Caramel apple pie with a pecan streusel topping. I was distracted by kids and left it in about 5 mins longer than intended, but it's still good.

I'm currently on holiday in Minneapolis... yeah I know kind of an odd time of the year to vacation up north. At any rate, every time I am in this area I go to a restaurant named Travail. It is far and away my favorite restaurant and very reasonably priced.

This time around I upped the ante and tried the 15 course tasting menu instead of the smaller one. Here are some of the highlights.

Head cheese with cherry puree, pickled shallots, and a mustard hollandaise.

Lamb with parsnip puree, parsnip chips, some sort of apricot jelly and honestly can't remember what the brown sauce is.

There were a few other tasty ones as well and a few not so awesome. Like this one:

It's foie gras. I was looking forward to it but I think they did a bit too much and ended up kind of ruining a nice ingredient.

Still a pretty good night though they didn't include the agnolotti or the soup this time around. I should've requested it I guess. They are my favorite dishes but I guess it gives me an excuse to go back again :)

My girlfriend lives near Minneapolis. I am going to have to try this place when I go out next month.

They are actually closing in 2.5 weeks and moving to a new location just down the street. You may want to call and make sure they are open by that time. They don't take reservation's either... if you don't want to wait show up as soon as they are opened or like an hour before close.

foie gras
First (and last) time I had foie gras was at my cousin's wedding at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and it was pretty freaking amazing
I envy you... Foie gras is banned in California now and it's not worth crossing the border into Nevada, Arizona, or Mexico to get some. Then again, I'm too young to cross on my own anyways =\

Perhaps I'll go to Minneapolis some day and have some there, because your picture makes it look absolutely delicious.
