Overall I am quite happy with the responses.
Just a tip, the ban command has to have quotations around the steam ID.
Code:
sm_ban "[steamID]" 1440 "[reason]"
1. For the Dustbowl Incident:
Xantam and Kael are the ones being punished because they are spamming the chat with advertising a different TF2 server from Skial's TF2 server, My evidence would be to record a demo file to record the Mic users in question, along with using the status command in console to show the user id and steam id for use, Since it's Xantam's first offense it will be a 1 day ban, and Kael it will most likely be a 3 day ban because of his previous offense.
The commands i would use would be the following for Xantam:| sm_ban [U:1:54968694] 1440 "Advertising non-skial server" |, for Kael:| sm_ban [U:1:99413795] 4320 "Boycotting skial server" |
Good. Just remember as above, quotations around the steam ID.
2. Skial Stat's Chatlog Incident:
Jermaphobe is the one being punished because of the use of a discriminative word being used in a varied time frame, My evidence would be to screenshot the discriminative slur snippet of his Chatlog, and as well copy & paste his chatlog in my post regarding it, since he has had 2 offences of being silenced and a ban for exploiting, he'll be banned for 1 week at most regarding the length of his chat log and how persistent it is.
The command i would use would be the following for Jermaphobe:| sm_ban [U:1:116254940] 10080 "Discrimination" |, i would also use| sm_addban 1440 "#[U:1:116254940]" "Persistent Discrimation" | if his behavior after the ban is not improved.
Be careful not to enter into double jeopardy. If you're silencing/banning for a cluster of speech or for an action, it's one offence. If you feel the massive amount of racism or bigotry warrants a longer silence or ban, speak and discuss with the rest of the team first as by standard, we must follow the chain punishment lengths. Discovering all of the bigotry from Jermaphobe (in this example) would be one incident.
Also same again about quotations on sm_ban
3. The Deathrun Bearun Incident:
ArayhMD is the one being punished if it continues into the next round thereafter since it's only the first round of the refreshed map since he's exploiting the map, My evidence would be to record a demo file of said player and the player playing as the hale. (i'll use my friend Gimpytron as the example of the hale player), considering ArayhMD's previous offences of punishments, his ban would be severe as in being a permanent ban. (i don't know any of his racism punishment times, nor his map exploiting times), and as for my friend since he doesn't have any offences and was being friendly to the red spy, it will be a 1 day ban.
The command i would use would be the following for ArayhMD:| sm_ban [U:1:40075228] 0 "Map exploiting" | and for Gimpytron as the hale player it would be: | sm_ban [U:1:34973583] 1440 "Friendlying" |
This was a trick question which is why I asked you to read it carefully. However to someone with no Deathrun experience or little experience, it can be a trap.
When a map starts after a reload or refresh, any class can join the hales side for that intro round only, the spy therefore did nothing wrong.
However, if this does happen during a standard round (after the intro round) then they are definitely exploiting and should get a ban. The hale, I personally wouldn't punish, unless they begin delaying the round end by not killing the exploiter after everyone else died.
Also to note, it does not matter if all 6 previous offences were 1 day in length each, that means the previous admins were at fault for not following the standard length chains. On the 6th/7th offence, you still follow what it should be, permanent or whatever else. They might get upset and appeal, you can still justify your actions 100% because Xth offence is Yth punishment as standard.
You answered them well, I won't knock points off for the last question as I assume you're not knowledgeable on Deathrun, you followed the principle well enough.
