we shouldn't slow down to the pace they are at.

we waited until literally everyone was ready to fight the boss. we give them stuff so they can be on par with us. If they don't want us to give them free items, then they shouldn't bitch about us being faster than them.
 
I'm just surprised people here still expect these playthroughs to go flawlessly for them in terms of pacing and experience with everyone else. It's a very unrealistic expectation especially when everyone is doing their own thing from time to time. For me personally, I only have fun on multiplayer when I stop caring about what others are doing without me. You're not going to be able to do everything you want to do on Terraria when you play multiplayer since you have to share a world others. This means no combing through every cave in the world like you normally would. You might miss out on beating a boss first time but that's okay since there's like 10 different bosses in the whole game that you beat and you can just resummon bosses. Someone may find an item you want but won't give it to you. Complaining about client hacks is one thing, but in most cases it's just plain selfish to get mad at someone playing though the game faster than you(the only exception to this I can think of where its warranted is activating hardmode prematurely), giving you items to help you along even though you didn't find them yourself, and being upset that you didn't beat a boss for the first time on world just because you weren't ready at the time.
 
I wasnt even behind I just feel bad for the people who were, but I guess Kyle's right.
We wont all end up at the same pace.

I'll probably make the house out of Boreal Wood I spawn in with the client.
However, I can easily just go farm it.
I think we are starting the new map today. There is no set time.
 
We need to set some rules and be strict about them. For example, NO HACKING, waiting for others to fight major bosses, and don't touch other people's stuff. There needs to be a 0 tolerance policy on the hacking, because before the world yesterday we said there would be no hacking, yet people still did it and played it off. It's Grima's server, so he gets to rule on banning players and such, but we need to iron down some form of restriction.
 
I don't understand the appeal of hacking in the game. Is it just me? What fun is it too get all the good items from the start? You might as well not even play the game and the first place because yole win within five to ten minutes of playing.

he hacks to make ridiculous weapons
such as the staff that fires 100 beach balls per second

From what I saw yesterday, the game has been running very smoothly and has been hack free so far. Maybe we will finally have a drama free Terraria run.

You can hardly call what happened last time "drama". It was more like Grima and Antim having a catfight. Nothing too big.

oh and this cool cat named @Dreama playing the world like it was singleplayer speedrun. Bad Dreama! Bad!
