Hi there, it’s been an on-going sentiment for years from the community that Skial’s surf map rotation isn’t as extensive as it should be. In efforts to help make the 17 map rotation feel less stale, a community-ran poll of the Skial surf server was conducted to see which surf map should be added. The winner was surf_telstar_b4.
We were made aware that Telstar’s latest b4 version caused crashes specifically on Skial’s surf server. With permission and in collaboration with Telstar’s creator Kompile, a new version called surf_telstar_b4n_f4 has been worked on and edited so it isn’t prone to crashes as the original b4 version was.
Just in case the keyboard wasn't the source of the crashes, the randomly generated icon codes and skeleton triggers have all also been removed from this version. New ways to open the end doors have been incorporated alongside multiple new additions of quality of life features to make a fan favorite map even better.
We hope this map can be accepted, and if anything else should be edited or done to the map for it to be on Skial’s map rotation, please let us know. Future long-term updates will come for the map as well.
