Welcome and Happy Holidays! With Christmas quickly approaching and having had two successful previous years of Secret Santa

This year I will host and organize this event. The way you will give and receive your gifts will be through yours truly. You will hand me your gift by the deadline and you will be able to choose when to receive your gift once all gifts are submitted. The rules will be similiar as previous years as the following.
  • If you choose to enter this event you will have to give a gift of atleast a minimal value to be finalized. The previous year the minimal value was 2 ref when a key was valued at 2.33-2.66 ref. If you want to change the price to accomodate the inflation to metal that is for the people who participate to decide by December 7th. Notice: All items will be valued based on the lower range of the set price to minimize any low tier gifts.Example: An item valued between 1.66-2.33 would not be allowed as a standalone gift if a minimum value is set at 2 refined.
  • You will NOT receive a gift if have failed to meet the requirements of a gift you are supposed to give.
  • You must have a minimum of 150 posts and 3 months on Skial Forums to participate in this event unless I specify otherwise.
  • Gifts outside of TF2 such as games and items for other games are acceptable however it must still be in the value said and if its an item(s) of a [different game other than TF2, your assigned person must own a copy of the game.
  • You are asked to gift 1-2 items max, this is so the quality of the items are higher instead of 5-6 cheap gifts.
  • Metal will not be allowed to "pad" the gift value. If you choose to give metal, the metal will to exceed the minimal value, not to reach it. Example. If the minimal value would be 2 refined, you would not be able to give a craft hat of 1.33ref value and add a refined. However if you had a craft hat worth 2 ref and you choose to add ref you are ]more than able to.
Signups for this years event will take place on this thread from now until Friday December 6th, 2013.
I will assign each of the people interested one person who they will be getting their gifts for via Skial PM on Monday December 9th 2013. If you see someone on the list who you would really want to give a gift for, you can PM me it during the weekend of the 7th-8th, but please don't talk to each other to be eachothers secret santa because that takes the whole "secret" away.
You will have until Wednesday Decemeber 18 to submit your gifts to me.. This early deadline is to be able to accomodate people who will inevitable be unable to make the event for whichever reasons and to fix any issues that should arise in due time.
I will keep a list here of the status of all participants underneath and will be updated for new members as well as whether or not they are assigned a partner and if they submitted their gift.
Notice: Once the time to submit your gifts approaches my profile will be going to private so people can not sneak peaks as to what other people are giving and what other people might be receiving. Whether or not you would wish to reveal yourself and what you gave to the public is up to your descretion but I ask for you to do so after all gifts are distributed to keep to the tradition.
Edit: Suggestions to this event are more than open for any aspect via PM or on this thread. Do not feel shy to contribute in any way.

The minimum value for gifts is going to be set at 3 refined because that is what the majority voted for and a higher minimum would cause some people to be unable to participate.

You might want to put a maximum value as well. I have a feeling that deadfront and shula would get something way to nice for someone.

I did get my fair share of negative attention which I want to get past, as well I want to get a bit more involved with the community and this would be a good way. I did ask last ears host if he is doing it again but he was unable.

3 ref, since it's plausible for people to get, and has the ability to be a semi-amusing hat.

Yesh indeedy, thanks for taking over. I'll do it if it doesn't go over 3 ref, but you might wanna tell people how you price the items once we figure out the minimum price. For example TF2 Spreadsheet, Baazar, whatever. Different sites sometimes have different prices on certain items.
